The Little Prince or Le Petit Prince by Antoine De Saint-Exupéry is a combination of

different literature genres that is made for all ages. It discusses sadness, love, loneliness, &

friendship that translates in many ways. The entire book is not what it seems, the illustrations

may appear childlike, and it may not seem lengthy, but it is a brilliant piece designed to

inspire you and provoke profound thought. “All grown-ups were once children… but only a

few of them remember it.” is one of the most iconic line in which the story revolves on. When

a person reaches the stage of their life where they start to become independent and

separate from others to pursue their ambitions, they sometimes forget to take time for

enjoyment and return to the things they formerly considered enjoyable and the roots of their

aspirations. This is the reason I selected this book—it best explains my circumstances and

the experiences that have moulded my decisions and personality as of now. Another

instance is the opening scenario in the book, when the character discusses the mental

differences between adults and children and how these differences in viewpoints have a

long-lasting impact on children The book helped me remember and understand my former
self, as well as my current situation as someone who is struggling to understand themselves

due to years' worth of accumulated issues. The entire book will make you reevaluate the

factors that influence your decisions, whether they are related to your profession or your

passions.
