National Sales Head with GIC Housing Finance Ltd.

GIC Housing Finance Ltd. promoted by GIC Re, New India Assurance, National Insurance Co., Oriental
Insurance Co. and United India Insurance, was founded in 1989 and provides individual housing loans to
the middle to upper level group in major cities & towns, primarily lending to salaried customers.

The Company has built a reasonable portfolio and profitability over the years. The management has set
bold ambitions to exponentially grow its asset book over the next five years while creating significant

About the role

The National Sales Head will have the opportunity to revamp the entire sales organization and set new
processes/procedures that would drive the sales growth. He/she will also have a free hand in recruiting
own sales team as per the organization policies and budget. He/she will report directly to Managing
Director & CEO.

The National Sales Head will be the Executive Leader in all aspects of the Company’s sales operations
across the country. This is a unique opportunity to work on a greenfield site, build a business and leave a
legacy. He/she will lead the end-to-end process from design through to execution and will be working
directly with the Senior Leadership.

Job description:

New business acquisition:


 End-to-end sales responsibility for entire country's Home Loan (incl. LAP & builder finance)
Business including driving AUM, disbursements, and yields while maintaining asset quality
 Identifying new business opportunities in terms of products, geographies, and customer segments,
and developing strategic and operational plans for capitalizing on the same
 Build & fortify sales team, plan distribution strategy, and develop presence for the Company in
key target markets
 Strategically plan, develop and build strategic tie-ups with various interest groups such as
developers, corporates, demand aggregators etc.
 Ensure successful cross selling with parent Company’s distribution network
 Developing, implementing and monitoring systems & process for smooth achievement of allocated
monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
 Drive team productivity to industry best and ensure that team targets are met
Strategy and competition:
 Analyze and review the market trends/competitor activities and take actions to capitalize on
opportunities and neutralize threats
 Build strategic action plan templates detailing out the win-plan for the targeted geographies,
customers, products and follow-up on implementation of plans
 Monitoring the marketplace continually and adapting to key changes, with rapid build-up of
requisite capabilities when necessary
 Provide inputs to product development teams and marketing teams for negating any adverse
market trends
 Support the IT team in data requirements and development of new systems to drive growth and
transparency

People and leadership:


 Build a completely new sales team consisting of both retail and corporate sales, incl. executives
for taking care of strategic tie-ups
 Lead branch managers and executives including target setting, implementation tracking, and
performance assessment
 Design, set and implements processes and procedures that support branch managers and executives
in lead identification, development and conversions
 Groom next generation of sales managers for building a growing and sustainable sales organization
 Work with HR to implement training modules that develops a work ethic driven for success and
growth

Requirement and experience:


 Relevant Experience (15+ yrs.) of Sales (in Home Loans, LAP, Builder Funding etc.) from Banks/
NBFC /Financial Institutions – someone who has held senior sales roles within scaling businesses
 Someone with a strong work ethic who is driven towards success and has a passion for growing
and developing organizations
 An inspirational leader who motivates others with a hands-on style and a willingness to get down
in the trenches and lead by example to achieve early successes, bring positive momentum and
translate early successes to further customer wins
 Thrives in fast paced agile environment and able to bring clarity to ambiguous and ill-defined
situations.
 Should have handled the team of 50-75 Members
 Good reputation and network within the NBFC/lending industry.
