Let’s Tell a horror story!

COMMUNICATIV
E OBJECTIVE
● Students will be able to create and tell a story using imagination
● Students will review their vocabulary in the past tense.
● Students will practice verbs in past.
TIMELINE / ● Warm-up (10 minutes): For the warm up we will be talking about which is our favorite
SESSION horror movie.
MANAGEMENT
The students will write the name of their favorite horror movie and have to describe it using 5
words.
To finish, the teacher will randomly choose 2 students to share their opinion.

● Presentation (15 minutes): To introduce the topic of the session, the teacher will tell a short
story using as many verbs in the past tense as possible. The idea is that students can remember
a little of the vocabulary in the past tense. Once finished, the teacher will ask you to share your
opinions about it and the teacher will ask you some questions to answer them.

● Practice (30 minutes): The teacher will start to tell a horror story in the past but will stop,
giving a student the opportunity to continue the story using their imagination.
The only rule is that he must use at least 5 verbs in the past, the student must stop and give
another student the opportunity to continue the story following the dynamics proposed by the
teacher.
The idea is that the students use their creativity and in a fun way use the vocabulary in the past
tense.
● Production (25 minutes): To end the session, the teacher will recapitulate the contributions
made by the students and incorporate them into a paragraph to be able to analyze with all the
students how coherent all their ideas were.
COMMUNICATIV ● ORAL SKILLS: The purpose is to put into practice their background knowledge through
E SKILLS different questions and situations. So, in this way, the teacher could see the oral production of
INTEGRATION the students by making them feel comfortable.

● WRITTEN SKILLS: The aim is that students can use their critical thinking to give reasons as
well as their creativity and incorporate as many vocabulary as possible in the written part.
PEDAGOGICAL During this activity the students will have the opportunity to practice their vocabulary in the past tense

In a fun way they will be remembering and putting into practice previous knowledge.
DYNAMIC Because the pace of the session will be dynamic, students will be able to use a variety of creative and
