1. What is the importance of Multicultural Diversity in the workplace?

- The importance of Multicultural Diversity in the workplace is that having the fact that we are
living in a world where we encounter variety of people with variety of culture, we tend to be
more aware of how we behave and how we act. Additional to that, multicultural diversity in
the workplace is important as it helps a lot to empower people to develop their knowledge
and skills in working. It also boosts productivity and expertise in work as we are working
with different people with different ideas and opinions. Working with one another will help
us learn from each other and it will widen our understanding and knowledge not just in
work but in different cultures we have. And lastly, having a culturally diverse workplace will
also be a harmonious workplace.

2. Why do we need to study multicultural diversity in the workplace of tourism and hospitality
industry?
- Simply because we are living in a world with many people having different culture. Especially
in tourism and hospitality industry, they are dealing not just with local people but also
people coming from another country, with different races. We must study multicultural
diversity as it will help us to understand more about other culture that we don’t understand
at all and it will boost our expertise in working professionally with many races around us.
Studying multicultural diversity will encourage us to be more empathic, sensitive, and
knowledgeable in workin with other people as people have different insights and beliefs,
and that’s what we need to understand.
