Round 1
It consisted of 49 questions which has to be completed in 35 minutes. The time was
sufficient if you have practiced basic bodmas and some basic aptitude questions for
which pariksha.co is really good. It keeps on conducting weekly speed tests that will
help you increase your speed.
One important thing that I would like to focus more upon is those memory based
questions which you won’t get on internet easily. An image used to appear on screen for
5-10 seconds and you have to memorize it and after 4-5 other questions, questions
related to that image were asked. So this test also tested your memorizing skills. The
images were like :
And some more this type of questions were asked. One question was to check how
much fast you can use your memory as well as eyes:

Count the number of lines. (Here people generally make mistake

to count the same line twice, thrice)
So round 1 was a bit easier and consisted of bodmas and memorizing test.

Round 2
Out of around 350 students who appeared for the online test 39 were shortlisted for this
round. This was a basic HR round along with testing some of your vedic maths skills.
Questions like Why Futures First? , Your family background , Why not a core company?
etc. Then my interviewer asked me to ask him some questions and then it was my turn
to test them ;) I asked 4 questions back to back:
1) How your company decides to whom you will assign Asian, European, American
markets?
2) How many vacations are there except national holidays and Saturdays & Sundays ?
3) How your company manages trading in festivals like Diwali, Holi?
4) How even without having any stock we can sell a particular commodity and start with
-1 position?(this was a trading question I asked him)
So this round also ended and I was one of those who made it to the next one!!

Round 3
Out of 39 students 12 were shortlisted for this round. This was a surprise round. It
keeps on changing every year but one thing you can be sure of is that this round will
test your trading skills. Trading is basically buying at low and selling at high or selling at
high and again buying at low. This round consisted of 6 internal rounds each
corresponding to the last 6 digits of an Indian currency note which were revealed by the
panel after every round one by one. In this round all 12 of us were given a small copy
and a number which we have to use to represent ourselves while trading in the game.
Before starting the game they will make you understand all the rules and they will also
play some practice rounds to make you understand it well. After that the panel members
will start the original game. You just trade well keeping in mind the above definition of
trading and remember one thing don’t try to be oversmart they will always have a close
look on you so please don’t plan with any of your colleagues to make profits for each
other. Trade FAIRLY please!!! .They don’t check whether you are earning profits or are
incurring losses at present they will focus on the amount of risk you put in to trade your
lots(a trading term) with an objective to earn profits ,doesn’t matter whether at present
you are having profits or losses but objective must be to earn profits. This round again
was very exciting and gave us a feel of trading.
And the best part was that I again made it to the next round. Yeahhhhh!!!!

Round 4
Out of 12 students only 8 were shortlisted for this round. This was again a surprise
round. It was an aptitude test but with a different touch to it!!! You might be getting till
now how they keep on imposing new situations on you. 8 of us were divided in groups
of 4 and both the 2 goups were sent to two different rooms. There was a laptop kept at
the centre of the table and 3 of the recruiters were present in the room. A score board
was also kept where names of all 4 of us were written. There were total 16 questions in
all with marking scheme as Q1 –Q4 of +1/-1 marks, Q5-Q8 of +2/-2 marks, Q9-Q12 of
+3/-3 marks, Q13-Q16 of +4/-4 marks. We all have to see on that single laptop screen
and the one who speaks the answer first gets the marks for that questions. This round
was to test your relative speed with respect to each other. It included again some basic
bodmas questions, puzzles ,image questions, patterns and the difficulty rose up with the
marks. There is no fixed time constraint in this round, but the moment any one of you
answer correctly the question gets ended. To our surprise when we reached at 14th
question the recruiting team introduced a bidding scheme according to which you have
to bid who will win and lose this round with 0-10 points. If you got correct then you will
get bidding points otherwise it will be deducted from your present score. After we all bid
he asked each one of us the logical reason why we bid that way? And then he moved to
15th and 16th questions. After all these questions the final scores were calculated and
then he told that bidding was just for fun (My bid proved totally correct, but it was of no
use) .But latter on he also checked if bidding scores were to be included then who will
win and in that case I was winning but though it was just for stress, the final scores were
what you have done in the aptitude test.
The round ended and again I made it to the next round. Most of us were exhausted till
now.

Round 5
Out of 8 only 5 were shortlisted. Then each one of were interviewed again by the panel
members. There were 2 panel members in my case. They asked me puzzles related to
probability and relative speed and then asked me bid on my answer if it is correct I will
get a profit of 1,00,000 points otherwise a loss!! I was sure that my answer will be
correct and I took the risk but again to my surprise my answer was WRONG and yes I
lost 1,00,000 points but still they were focusing on your risk taking guts. Then again they
asked me some basic HR questions after 2 puzzles and then said ok Rishabh wait
outside we will be soon announcing the results.
We were asked to report to the TPO at 9:00 a.m. and till round 5 ended it was 6:15 p.m.
So be ready for this hectic schedule if you are appearing for Futures First. They will just
give you 5-10 minutes in between the subsequent rounds.

After 15-20 minutes of wait all 5 of us were called inside the room and as I entered the
room I saw my offer letter kept on the Table………………………………………………..
This was the feeling that can’t be explained in words. They said we all are selected and
gifted us Adidas shirts with Futures First written on it. ….

ADDITIONAL TIPS:
1.To get the feeling of trade you can register on an online trading simulator
“trademogul”. It is a platform made by Futures First. I have practiced it for two weeks
trial period prior to the company’s visit to the campus. Do try it, it’s free of cost for two
weeks. You will get much about trading concepts when you will trade on
trademogul.com
2.Practice as many puzzles as you can. Statement puzzles, image puzzles, matchstick
puzzles etc. There are thousands of questions on internet , make positive use of the
LAN.
Basically what futures first tested was your Patience, stress bearing capability ,
emotional balance, logical reasoning, good aptitude skills, quick maths, good judgement
skills, quick decision making skills, mental toughness. They love the candidates who
perform better in direct proportion to the stress imposed.
Start early there is no tomorrow!!!!!
