Enrolment Client

UIDAI client application package, named Aadhaar enrolment client, is used to


record demographic & biometric data of residents. Aadhaar enrolment client (AEC) is
also referred as ECMP, i.e. Enrolment Client Multi Platform, The captured data is
sent to CIDR for De-duplication, Aadhaar Generation and permanent storage.

Multiplatform implies that the AEC is now available for the Windows
and Linux operating system platforms.

 User Authentication
– Role based user authentication and authorization
– Application specific login. Users must be pre-registered with CIDR
 Pre-Enrolment Support
– Capability to upload pre-existing electronic demographic data to enrolment client
– Database that may be used for this purpose include PDS, NREGA, RSBY, Passport etc.

– Textual data entry of the resident based on supportive documents like Proof of
Identification/Address (POI/POA)
 Basic Transliteration
– Conversion of demographic data from English to any Indian official language supported
– Language to be converted into is selected as a process of client configuration

Errors caught during Enrolment
• All the packets which are enrolled by the operators moves to QC process
before Aadhaar generation. Hence, operators are required to pay
attention on common errors during enrolment of resident.
• Following errors are observed during QC process –

Out of the mentioned error types, the packets with below given three error types are sent for correction to EAs (on
correction portal):  (1)Photo gender mismatch, (2)Name address transliteration error (3)Relationship mismatch.
If not corrected by EA & approved by respective Registrar within 21 days then those packets are also rejected. 37 / 28

Precautions to be taken (Contd.)
1. Original Document Scanning.

2. Verifier Signature in each enrolment & update form.

3. Don’t do Any Introducer base enrolment. Many


rejection due to this.

4. For 0-5 years no biometric of child to be taken,


enrolment HoF base.( Doc – Proof of relationship –
PoR ) – Birth Certificate, Ration Card, etc.

5. Always first clarify with the resident has he done


enrolment before or not.
