MATERIAL EVALUATION – is a necessary aspect and objective in an evaluation as it provides the

needed contents and activities to match the learners and teacher's suitable solutions.
Guidelines and framework are checked if it is within the criteria that is appropriate for the students.

As the need to meet the specific and precise requirements to respond with the vocational and or
academic situations in other major courses that require a high demand.
By having various disciplines, it is difficult for the instructors to find the suitable materials.

The authors are then consulted to see if the book used is authentic in materials used for exercises and
practices, as the regular curriculum does not cover all the materials needed because the approach
seems not too appropriate.

But because of it being genre-based many teachers thought it could be used to teach.
It has to be authentic, meaningful, and student-centered.

Criteria has to be met, language system, language form, the matching of language, the kind of
English, and the language skills taught.
It has to be attempted to have more focus on function and communicative interactions.
To facilitate and provide the learners speaking activities.

For the students to benefit in spoken and written form related to English language as the skill is
integrated within them.
Some of it focuses on communicative learning.

The approach has to be assessed being it a new form of underlying characteristics.


It should have inductive and deductive learning process, which embodies the need to make the
learners learn.

It is relevant to have grammar representation, procedures, and practices consisting of steps and
safety tips.
To develop language skills and communicative abilities and to develop cognitive strategies.

To make use of language and convey information that brings intrinsic interest to learners. materials
that do not impose specific restraints.

Motivation plays a big role in the success or failure, causing it to have a more appealing approach to
students to promote motivation in authentic materials used.
Encourages the personal involvement so the use of practice in pairs and or individually.
It has to cater to international standard.

In conclusion, it prepares the learners to be able to communicate and negotiate with English speakers
accordingly and confidently.

Therefore, by having objective based on the students' needs will they be able to achieve the core and
basic competence, and to facilitate the learners in a better English speaking and or written.
