Introduction
• We are happy to announce our very 01ST edition
of the “Thesis Of The Year Award”. After
completing so many studio programs, juries &
years of sleepless nights, an architecture student
reaches the final mighty stage of “Thesis”.
Architectural Thesis is all about going beyond &
exploring.

• An Architecture Thesis starts with the difficult task

of topic selection, tons of research work, case
studies, site selection, concept development,
design evolution, the presentation & report
development. We believe thesis represents you &
your understanding of the entire field. The “Thesis
of the Year Award” is our small attempt to honour
some amazing thesis works.

• Archmello’s “Thesis Of The Year” award is open to

all recent/past graduates & post graduates in
architecture. The competition is open for both
Indian & Foreign nationals.

• The “Thesis Of The Year” award welcomes

architectural thesis work done in the following
areas : -

1. Urban Planning and Infrastructure

2. Cultural Facilities
3. Leisure and Fun Facilities
4. Public Offices Buildings and Institutions
5. Housing Facilities
6. Mixed Use Facilities
7. Transport Terminals

• Thesis is the most important part of an architecture

student’s life as it provides an opportunity to the
students to explore a particular design category,
address a social – cultural issue through design or
work on the futuristic theme. Whatever may be the
topic of the thesis, “Thesis Of The Year” Award
welcomes everyone to Make Your Work Worth at
Archmello.
Submission Requirement
• The “Thesis Of The Year Award” is open for all
nationals.

• The official language of the competition is English.

• Each participant can submit a maximum of 5

landscape oriented A1 size sheet.

• Unique Identification Code ( UIC ) to be

mentioned at the top right corner of each sheet.

• All dimensions in the sheet should be imperial or

metric unit.

• Submission can be presented using any technique

of your choice ( Sketches, 2d drawings, 3d
visualizations, Models etc ).

• Submission must not include your Name, School

or Organization which gives away your
identity.

• JPEG of your proposal to be submitted via e-mail

at – thesisatarchmello@gmail.com

• Maximum file size should not exceed 15 MB

( 150 DPI Resolution ).

• UIC to be the subject of e-mail while submitting

your proposal.

• Name of the file must be – TA21AXXXX.jpeg

• Participants can attach a separate word file of

( not more than 750 words ) to explain the thesis
topic, research work & other related studies of
your proposal.

• Do not share the submission more than one time. If

in case a submission is not received by us even
after submitting, then our team will get in touch
with you to help complete the submission process.

• For any query regarding the registration process, fees or payment should be sent
on same above given e-mail with “QUESTION” as subject.

Important Note
• Minimum eligible age for participants is 18 years.

• Registration fees are non-refundable. Contacting jury is not allowed. Participants

will receive team code within 24 hours once the registration is completed.

• All deadlines are 11:59 – 00:00 IST ( INDIA ). Archmello reserves the right to
change the schedule of the competition if deemed necessary.

Q. Who can participate in the competition ?
The competition is open for all recent/past graduates & post graduates in
architecture.

Q. Will every participant get certificate of participation ?

Yes, each registered participant will receive an e-certificate.

Q. What should be done if a payment gateway service is not available in any

particular country?
In such case, we request participant to write us at – atarchmello@gmail.com
Our team will send you all the alternate payment option & help you
complete the registration process.

Q. How will a team gets its Unique Identification Code ?

The Unique Identification Code ( UIC ) will be mailed on your registered e-
mail address within 24 hours after completing the registration process.

Q. What is the use of Unique Identification Code ?

All the participants are requested to use their UIC at the top right corner of
your submission as it is your identity for the competition related processes.

Q. What to do if a participant does not receives the UIC after making

payment ?
In such case the participants are asked to mail their payment receipt to
atarchmello@gmail.com with “QUESTION” as subject.

Q. What should be the submission file size & mode of submission ?

The file size should not exceed more than 15 MB & the submission file should
be in JPEG format in 150 DPI resolution.
