Introduce yourself
Hello, my name is Hassan Youssef Haidar, I am 18 years old, from south Lebanon. I’m interested in
studying medical school and become a surgeon.
2. Why do you want to study medicine?
According to my previous experience, I saw how being a doctor is important for the survival of human
and humanity. Besides that, I will be able to alleviate people from their pain and suffer. I believe I can
save lives and make a real difference.
3. Qualities of a good doctor?
In the present day, we need to possess some positive traits in order to be a good doctor. When and when
patients and their loved ones need it, we should be there to help. We should be trustworthy, honest, and
have integrity. We should also be open to learning. We must work together with other healthcare
professionals, be proactive patient advocates for their patients, mentor other healthcare workers, and be
open to learning from others regardless of their age, job, or status. We must also promote health as well as
treat disorders. We should opt to dedicate it to producing quality physicians. 
4. Why doctors are important for the society?
Although doctors do save lives, their significance extends well beyond that. Doctors also have an impact
by assisting patients in reducing pain, speeding up illness recovery, or adjusting to living with an
incapacitating injury.
5. Why would you like to join our medical school?
I’ve heard about Kashan university at al-Afak institute and done some research online about it, so I found
out that it’s among the top universities in Iran and in the region. I’m pleased to study and graduate from
it.
6. What are the main causes of death?
The top global causes of death, in order of total number of lives lost, are associated with three broad
topics: cardiovascular (heart disease, stroke), respiratory (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,
lower respiratory infections) and neonatal conditions – which include birth trauma.
7. What is mental health?

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and
act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is
important at every stage of life, from childhood and through adulthood.

Over the course of your life, if you experience mental health problems, your thinking, mood, and behavior
could be affected. Many factors contribute to mental health problems, including:

 Biological factors, such as genes or brain chemistry


 Life experiences, such as trauma or abuse
 Family history of mental health problems

8. How Often Should You See Your Doctor for a Checkup?


It’s better to prevent an illness than to have to treat it. That’s why regular checkups are essential.

What are the benefits of regular checkups?

9. Is Doctor a good career choice?

In fact, according to the results of a 35-country survey conducted by the global education charity
Foundation, physicians hold the most respected job in the world. And basically, doctors are respected for
making people feel better and heal when sick, and their ability to save people's lives by dealing with
diseases.
