CARDIAC MONITORS Cardiac monitoring devices can be used 

to
monitor how long the irregular beats last and
how often they occur.

HEMODYNAMIC MONITORING DEVICE Hemodynamic monitoring devices enable in


monitoring blood volume, ECG, heart rate,
blood gas analysis, blood pressure, central
venous pressure, temperature, and oxygen
perfusion/peripheral venous oxygen
saturation. These devices are also useful in
monitoring patients in critical care units
following surgical procedures.

INTRA-AORTIC BALLOON PUMPS The intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), also


called the balloon pump, is a machine that
helps the heart pump blood throughout the
body. It consists of two parts: a balloon
inserted into the aorta, one of the large
arteries through which blood passes from the
heart to the rest of the body; and a machine
outside the body.

Intracranial Pressure Monitoring ICP Intracranial Pressure Monitoring (ICP)


MONITORING DEVICE Measures the pressure inside the child's skull.
If there is a severe brain injury, head surgery,
brain infection, or other problems, the brain
may swell.
