IN THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE GUIDELINES FOR THE
INITIAL COMPLIANCE CHECK OF LOCAL CANDIDATES' CAMPAIGN FINANCE
DISCLOSURE REPORTS AND STATEMENTS
This pertains to the Memorandum dated July 2, 2013 of Commissioner Christian Robert
S. Lim, Chairperson, Campaign Finance Steering Committee, submitting the proposed
amendment to the guidelines for the initial compliance check of Local Candidates' Campaign
Finance Disclosure Reports and Statements.
However, due to the delay in the transmittal of campaign finance documents from the
field, not all local candidates were duly informed of their deficiencies within the 29 June 2013
deadline. To give local candidates an opportunity to make up for their deficiencies, the
undersigned proposes for the amendment of the third (3rd) guideline.
In relation to Section 14 of Republic Act 7166, the minute resolution is germane to the
specific Act as it is generally relevant to the Commission that were resolved, as it hereby
resolves, to adopt in toto the foregoing proposed amendment to the guidelines for the initial
compliance check of Local Candidates' Campaign Finance Disclosure Reports and Statements
which are found and provided in the M.R. No. 13-0823.
