Perceptions of students towards use of Education 4.

0 in Translation Studies

Education 4.0 introduces a technology-based strategy that promotes quality

education at all levels of education in general and higher education in particular.
This can be explained as the student does not have to retreat behind a lecture-based
approach, textbook material, and traditional forms of education. Alternatively,
students use the resources available on the web to enroll in online courses, flipped
classrooms, video conferences, seminars, and video calls to provide course content
(Srivani et al., 2022). Education 4.0 promotes education differently, mainly by
consuming technology-based tools and resources. It is more realistic and practical
learning method, which can produce excellent results for student learning (Sharma,
2019). The study investigated the perceptions of students towards the impact of
Education 4.0 on the process of learning in translation studies. The study also
intended to explore students’ insights in learning through Education 4.0 in
translation studies. This is quantitative research. The data was collected using a
close-ended, pre-tested questionnaire. The study found that there is no significant
difference between male and female students on the use of Education 4.0 in
process of learning in translation studies. Further it is clear from the study that
majority of the students in translation studies do not well aware of Education 4.0
and its significant effects in the process of learning.
