3. Mohammed Nasser Hassan Ja’ashan (2015), the title of the study was Perceptions
and Attitudes towards Blended Learning for English Courses. The paper identifies the
perceptions and attitudes that blended learning provides to students’ learning
Experiences as well as to investigate negative impressions in blended English courses
from the learners’ Perception. The author conducted a survey through a questionnaire
at University of Bisha. There are 130 Respondents enrolled in English department.
The questionnaire was designed to measure the students’ Perceptions and attitudes
towards blended learning. This study concludes that in general the students’
perceptions and attitudes Towards blended learning were positive in terms of the three
domains in the questionnaire. This study also concludes that blended learning is as
effective as face-to-face learning in Developing and improving knowledge and skills.
4. Samuel Adu Gyamfi (2015) the title of the study was “Students’ perception of
blended learning environment”. This study was conducted to assess students’
perception of blended learning environment. This study was designed to ensure that
the benefits of both online and face-to-face learning environment. The study used
formative experiment with 75 first year university students. The findings showed
positive perceptions of student on the blended learning Environment. This finding
notwithstanding, the use of web-based materials for blended learning programmes
was problematic giving that some students encountered probing conclusion, although
the findings from this study showed the transformative potential of the Intervention,
there could be an issue with the generalization of the findings to all courses in the
University setting.
7. In the study titled Students’ perceptions toward online learning and face-to-face
learning courses by S Bali and M C Liu (2018) examined the issues of student
perception toward online learning and face-to-face learning in the context of social
presence, social interaction, and satisfaction in Indonesia Open University, Taiwan
branch (n=107). The comparison of the online group and the face-to-face group
conducted to explore student-learning perceptions regardless of the course delivery
method and the online environment. The result of this study indicates that face-to-face
learning perception was higher than online learning in term of social presence, social
interaction, and satisfaction. However, there is no statistically significant difference in
learning preference found among level of student.
11. “The trends of blended learning in South East Asia” by Ford Lumban Goal and
Fonny Hutagalung (2020). A total of 389 responses were collected from students
pursuing higher education in University of Malaysia, UCSI University, Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia. The aim of the study is to address Confits of multiple technologies
in blended learning. The research method was qualitative, and the data were Collected
by three focus group interview and questionnaire. The data Were analysed using
descriptive statistics. The results showed that robotics training influence creativity and
learning in physic among the participants.
12. The study titled “blended learning - a study on student’s perception about suitability
of the framework for higher education” by Dr. Pallavi Ughade (2020) has aimed to
find out the perception of students towards Blended Learning. Only primary data was
used for this study. Survey method was employed for this research. The researcher
has chosen 75 PG students for the study. Structured questionnaire is designed to
collect the information through google forms. Google form link were sent to 120
students and 60 copies of questionnaire were distributed manually. The researcher
found that median is 4 for all the structured questions used in the questionnaire.
Outcome has absolute characteristics irrespective of gender. Hence blended learning
is a suitable and effective method for the better learning in higher education.
13. An online self-report survey by Felix Bast (2021) titled “Perception of Online
Learning among Students from India set against the Pandemic” was conducted to
assess students’ perception of online learning in this changed situation in comparison
with traditional classroom learning. The sample size of this study was 1,318 members.
The study analysed eight independent variables on student’s perception towards
online learning, viz., gender, nature of the settlement, economic background,
religiosity, primary electronic device, age, and educational institution, with each of
these variables forming respective research hypotheses. Results revealed several
exciting facets of students’ perceptions. Receptiveness towards online learning was
significantly higher for students from urban areas compared with rural areas.
14. Hadiyanto, Failasofah, Armiwati, Mukhlash Abrar and Yulhenli Thabran (2021)
had made research on “Student’s practices of 21st century skills between conventional
learning and blended learning”. The aim of the study is to investigate the impact of
blended learning in course application with the goal of optimizing student’s skills. A
total of 160 higher class students of University of Jambi, Indonesia participated in the
study, immediately Following the blended course assessment. Data were gathered
using both quantitative and Qualitative research techniques such as a questionnaire.
Five main scales were identified to assess the Effectiveness of the blended training
process. In addition, a scale of satisfaction was Included to measure the overall
student’s perception of the course effectiveness. The Findings indicated that Blended
learning is the most effective tool for engagement of both students and teachers in
learning platforms.
15. The study by Alma Sri Andriyani, Maulina, Syarif Amin, Rahmat Nasrullah and
Asdar, Andi Hamsiah (2022) titled “Students’ Perception in Learning English
through Blended Learning” aims to investigate how the blended learning process is
operated and to determine students’ perceptions in learning English through blended
learning. This study used observation, questionnaire, and interview to collect data
from the purposively selected students. This study indicated that learning English
through blended learning showed positive behaviour like attending the class regularly
and enthusiastically. Besides, students felt comfortable and enjoyed learning English,
showing their English language skills and favourable learning in the form of well-
implemented blended learning.
