INTRODUCTION
 In this day and age with the pandemic situation, students are
barely adjusted to the new normal way of learning, as well as in
finding an effective approach in order for them to absorb and
understand the information. Teachers and students are in the
same phase of reality, wherein they bear the circumstances of
lack in preparation and guidelines. In this study, the researchers
would like to conduct effective learning approaches, to recognize
each students' preferred method and to know its impact in their
academic performances. This could tackle the advantages and
disadvantages to the Junior High school students and to their
teachers, that can be served as enlightenment for the Philippines'
educational system.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
 The purpose of this research is to identify
which type of distance learning do students in
Solid Ground School wants the most. This
may enlighten the students and teachers about
the new normal specially the new education
that they will use for their future academic
proficiency.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The product of the study will be a major advantage
to the following:

 To the Department of Education

 To the students of Solid Ground School
 To the teachers of Solid Ground School
 To the other researchers
RESEARCH QUESTION
What type of learning approaches do students preferably
think is effective?

Specific Questions:
1. How do effective learning techniques affect
students?
2. Why do most students prefer to take a break from
studying in this pandemic situation?
3. Did the teachers and DepEds considered students
preference when it comes to learning?
Specific Questions:
4. Do all students learn something with the new
learning approach?
5. What is the most challenging part of Online
Learning?
6. What are some problems in Modular and
Blended learning approach in education?
SCOPES AND DELIMITATION
 The study is focused on the type of learning
approach that students prefer in the midst of the
pandemic situation. The researchers aim is to
exhibit what made students prefer the selected
learning approach. The main respondents of this
research are the junior high school students of
Solid Ground School, ranging from Grade 7- 10.
The research will be conducted at Solid Ground
School in Plaridel Bulacan.

RESEARCH DESIGN
 In this study, the researchers gathered data through
the means of stratified sampling wherein google
form is used for the survey. The collected
information from our respondents will be analyzed
by descriptive data analysis. The results of their
responses will be helpful to the research questions.
SAMPLING TECHNIQUES
 The researchers used stratified random sampling by
distributing google forms as survey. Randomly
picking 5 girls and 5 boys in every grade level
(grade 7 - grade 10) so as to achieve information
needed. Through giving out questionnaires, the
study could conduct different perspectives of
effective distance learning approach and how it
affects the students.
METHOD OF DATA ANALYSIS
 Throughout the descriptive analysis, the
researchers could interpret the data by means of
respondents’ answers and to describe the main
factor of the study. The following graph: Pie graph
and vertical stacked bar graph will be the
demonstration of responses from Junior High
School students of Solid Ground School.

CONCLUSION
 The researchers therefore conclude that the junior high
school students in Solid Ground School preferred online
distance learning compared to the modular and blended.
Due to the reasons of direct communications between
teachers and students and it's also similar from face-to-
face classes. This learning technique is still inaccurate
because of the unpreparedness of both students and
teachers. There are still a lot of rooms for improvement
in order for the DepEd, students and teachers to cope up
in a comfortable way in the middle of pandemic.
DISCUSSION
 The data was gathered through the means of stratified
sampling wherein this paper used Google Forms for
surveying. Based on the given survey results, the majority
of our fellow students said that online learning is the most
effective approach for them. Nevertheless, more than half
of the same respondents said that their chosen learning
approach is more open for cheating. Majority of the
respondents answered 8 out of 10 for the effectiveness of
online learning approach. Students are still not
accustomed of the new distance learning but nevertheless,
they are eager to learn something new.
RECOMMENDATION
This study could widen the perspective of every
person in the field of education:
