Yell Competition

Mechanics

1. The competition shall be participated by all (program).

2. The use of Vulgar Language is prohibited and will be subject to disqualification.
3. The group must be composed of a minimum of 15 members and a maximum of 30.
4. The duration of the group yell must be a minimum of 5 mins and a maximum of 10 mins.
5. Lifts, and tossing are not allowed provided that it will endanger anyone.
6. Instruments are allowed. Note: The yell must be audible, and not be overpowered by the sounds
produced by the instruments.
7. The use of props is allowed, provided that it will not hinder the next performers and they will be
given two (2) minutes for the preparation of props. Performers then are expected to clear the
performance area after their respective performances.
8. The decision of the Board of Judges shall be final and non-appealable.
9. The contestants must be included in the official CEAT student list.

Criteria For Judging

Creativity – 40%

Clarity of Voice – 10%

Mastery and Timing – 20%

Impact – 30%

Total – 100%
