Encountered problems in the telemedicine

 There is difficulty in the referral to other departments particularly IM and surgery. Patients
will usually say “Doc, nagmessage na po kame dun, pero wala pa pong nagrreply”
 Patients had difficulty contacting surgery teleopd. Also, it is noticeable that their opd
schedule in their FB page is only from 9am to 12noon. There should be a mandated number
of hours for all departments that the tele should be operational to accommodate more
patients.
 Telemedicine patients, since tele OPD platform started have been very demanding. Even if
they have been acknowledged by the physician in charge. They have low tolerance in terms
of waiting, and immediately report unnecessary concerns. They need to know the
limitations of telemedicine They have to know that even if they are already acknowledeged,
it doesn’t mean they can be seen or scheduled right away. They will have to wait since tele
is not a medium for urgent case. We need to define that non-urgent cases may be
scheduled after a week at least due to minimal manpower.
 We should implement no scheduling for teleconsult if consent forms are not duely
accomplished, signed and understood by the patients.
 Consent form should be converted in a friendly-user format. We can use PDF filler format
for consent forms
 To filter patient efficiently, a green card equivalent for tele can be used. Patient will have to
go to a website platfrom and fill-in information needed, in exchange, they will be given a QR
code that they have been registered for QMMC telemedicine. This QR code will be used for
platforms like zoom or google meet for teleconsultation once they are scheduled.
