Don’t ever be ashamed at feeling
weak. Remember what the Bible says
in 2 Corinthians 12:10:
“Therefore I take pleasure in
infirmities, in reproaches, in
necessities, in persecutions, in
distresses for Christ’s sake: for when
I am weak, then am I strong.”
Give Me Strength, Lord
Lord, you are Holy above all others, and
all of the strength that I need is in your
hands.
I am not asking, Lord, that you take this
trial away. Instead, I simply ask that
Your will be done in my life. Whatever
that means, that is what I want.
But I admit that it’s hard, Lord.
Sometimes I feel like I can’t go on. The
pain and the fear are too much for me,
and I know that I don’t have the strength
on my own to get through this.
I know that I can come to you, Jesus,
and that you will hear my prayer. I know
that it is not your intent to bring me to
this point just to leave me in the
wilderness alone.
Please, Lord, give me the strength that I
need to face today. I don’t have to worry
about tomorrow.
If you just give me the strength that I
need today that is all I need.
Keep me from sinning during this trial.
Instead, help me to keep my eyes on
you. You are the Holy Lord, and all of
my hope rests in you.

What Does the Bible teach us about
Peace?

Prince of Peace. When Jesus came into
the world, he brought peace between
man and God through his work on the
cross.

We know that all of us will suffer stress
at some times in our life, but these Bible

I remember a time in my life that I lost
the only source of income I knew, and

Grace in the Bible
These Bible verses on grace reveal a lot
about the grace of God and how it is
obtained. Grace is given to us when we
humble ourselves before God and it is
given to us during times of need to
strengthen us and help us endure
affliction.
Sometimes grace comes through
sacrifice such as in the case of Jesus
coming to earth to die so that we might
be saved. And it is through grace as a
gift that we are saved and justified
through Jesus Christ, receiving eternal
comfort and the love of God.
It is by grace that we have received
different spiritual gifts to benefit the
body of Christ. Grace comes from God
the Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus
Christ.

Patience?

my favorite is Matthew 6:25-34, where
we are told that we should not worry
about our life, our clothing, our food, or
any necessities for living.
Though the unbelieving world lives a
life of constant worry, this should not be
the life of the Christian. Too much
worry about the things of this world can
choke God’s influence in our life.

that God cares for us and loves us, so we
should give all of our worries to him.
We need to trust him to help us and
provide us with support as he has
promised throughout the Scriptures.
And the apostle Paul tells us not to be
anxious, but to pray to God with our
requests so we can rest in peace.

lord, I am a woman troubled in spirit.
I have drunk neither wine nor strong
drink, but I have been pouring out my

examples such as the waiting of God in
the days of Noah and his delay in
ending the world (patience in giving
people an extended opportunity to
repent and be saved).
Patience is one of the traits of love and
it is also a fruit of the Holy Spirit. In
addition, these scriptures about patience
tell us we are supposed to teach in
patience and be patient with everyone
around us.
We are to live a Christian life of
patience and bear fruit in patience,
patiently waiting for the promises of
eternal life.
I sometimes have difficulty being
patient (especially when driving), and
have found that the closer I draw to God
the more I seem to find that patience
that is so necessary in the life of a
Christian.
It is also by allowing the Holy Spirit to
work through our inner being that we
can begin to display more patience.
“Do not be anxious about anything,

Courage?
With the above Bible verses, we are
instructed over and over again to be
courageous and not fear, specifically
because God is with us.
When we are following God’s lead and
living life as he has instructed us, these
quotes tell us that we do not need to fear
because he will fight for us. When God
is on our side, there is no force or power
that can stand against him.
Having said this, there are also
scriptures for courage that tell us there
are times when we will suffer for Christ,
but even then we are to be strong.
It seems that this strength and courage
that God asks of us comes by faith in
him–in believing that he is there with us
no matter what we must endure. When
we believe, we know that nothing can
happen to us except he allows it to
because he has overcome the world.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in
the strength of his might.” [Ephesians
6:10]
“Therefore take up the whole armor
of God, that you may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having
done all, to stand firm” [Ephesians
6:13]

Since we are told in one of the passages
above that it is impossible to please God

passages in the Bible, it also seems to
imply that faith was an important aspect
when one is healed.
As Christians, we are supposed to live a
life of faith by believing in God and in
whatever God has promised. As
Abraham left his home to wander in the
wilderness because he believed God, we
are called to exhibit the same kind of
faith in our life.
It is by faith in Jesus as our Lord and
Savior that we receive salvation. All
through the Bible we are told the
necessity of faith in our Christian walk.
If we ever feel we need more faith, we
have simply to pray and ask God and he
will answer our prayers.
“Have I not commanded you? Be
strong and courageous. Do not be
frightened, and do not be dismayed,
for the Lord your God is with you
wherever you go.” [Joshua 1:9]

above, we can see that God is there for
us and that he will always protect us,
strengthen us, and empower us to live
our lives as Christians in this world.
He has not left us without hope. He has
given us his word and filled us with his
Holy Spirit who dwells within all of us

his word to assist us when we are in
need of encouragement. These are the
words of our God, so they are powerful
and true.
Whenever God has said or promised
anything, we know that we can rely on
him to always keep his word and fulfill

of this, we should allow the Holy Spirit
to encourage our souls and then go
forward in peace with faith in our God.

What do these Scriptures on Joy
teach us?
With all the Bible verses about joy in
the Scriptures, it seems as if joy is one
of the main functions of everything
related to God. It even says that joy is
with him in his dwelling place.
The angels announcing the birth of
Christ spoke of the joy that was coming
with that birth.
Once we become a Christian, the Bible
speaks of the inexpressible joy that
reigns in our hearts and minds by means
of the Holy Spirit who indwells us. God
wants us to have joy fulfilled within
ourselves and wants our joy to be
complete.
Even in times of sorrow, these
Scriptures about joy tell us to be patient
with the promise that we will later
rejoice and that nobody will be able to
take that future joy away from us. We
are told that it is our hope and trust in
God that brings joy. Joy is the fruit of
the Spirit.

confute every tongue that rises

Protect my Day
Blessed be my protection when I go out
during day or night,
That thou mayest not let any of my
enemies, or thieves, approach me,
If they do not intend to bring me what
was intended from your Holy Altar.
Because God the Lord Jesus Christ is
ascended into Heaven in his living
Body,
And so shall my body and wellbeing be
protected on this journey.
O Lord, bless me and watch over me
day and night.
