Adolescence 2
At this age of adolescence, children's brains are developing at a rapid pace. Biological
changes in the brain's connectivity and structure combine with greater knowledge and
experience, as well as shifting social expectations, to create rapid cognitive growth. Most of
these changes take place around the time of puberty, but other talents continue to develop
throughout adolescence. Executive functions achieve adult levels of maturity during adolescence,
period for the refinement and stabilization of many aspects of executive function. The prefrontal
cortex portion of the brain is often related with the establishment of cognitive abilities that
permit coordination and control of thoughts and behavior. As a result of the ideas, thoughts, and
concepts formed throughout this era of life, a person's character and personality are formed
performing for them. One of my favorite pastimes is to dance and sing along to my favorite
songs while I'm alone in my room. I had a naive belief that I was impervious to harm, therefore I
went about my daily life as if nothing could harm me. All of this is a necessary element of the
long process of developing into a distinct individual. Unfortunately, I came to believe that no one
