 What, why and who the event is for – there is still cause to celebrate despite all the
challenges brought on by the pandemic. It brought out many good things – time for
family, finding out what is truly important, adapting and learning and helping, heroes
emerging, heroes like teachers, etc. It is the good things we celebrate. It is you teachers
we honor with this celebration.  
 Background of Heroes 2021

The Heroes 2021 Project was a response to the need of the public school sector to rapidly and
immediately train its teachers for online teaching amidst the pandemic. Thames International
and its learning partners Akadasia Singapore and Edurescue developed online courses that
upskilled teachers in several DepEd Regions. This massive effort was made possible by our
corporate partners , CitySavings Bank, Unionbank and UBP Accelabator and Philstar. Today we
will honor the regions who helped us reach our 100,000 milestone of teachers trained.

Good afternoon Everyone. CitySavings has been a partner of the Teaching community since
-----. The pandemic has once again been a new call of duty for our beloved teachers to find
effective ways to ensure that education continues for our students despite the crisis. 
CitySavings has decided to support this mission critical task by sponsoring the HEROES 2021
Project of Thames and its learning partners Akadasia and Edurescue. The Heroes 2021 training
will help ensure that our public school teachers are equipped for online teaching. 

The pandemic is not over and we know that many challenges still lie ahead. CitySavings salute
all of you, our education frontliners,  and we are backing you up all the way.  

RECOGNITION OF PARTICIPATING REGIONS TO HEROES 2021 BY JOEL SANTOS, President of

Today we want to Honor the regions that immediately responded to the call to upgrade the
skills of its teachers to Online Learning thru the Heroes 2021 Project.

We honor:

We are glad to announce that as of today ------- number of public school teachers have
participated in the Heroes 2021 Program . We believe that this has been the biggest and fastest
training program ever done. But we are not yet finished. We are still aiming to train a total of
500,000 teachers before the year ends. We are looking forward to more regions joining the
Heroes 2021 training program soon.

for the HEROES 2021 project that helped ensure no students are left behind.
