Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, testing and support of SAP FICO areas in order to
meet the business and functional requirements of the organization.
Working closely with the stakeholders to deliver, maintain and enhance SAP functionality, the FICO specialist adds value to
the SAP team with his knowledge of its integration with other modules.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
Provides specialist level functional and configuration knowledge in designing SAP solutions in the FICO modules of
SAP.
Should have sound configuration knowledge of master data, GL, AP, AR, Asset accounting and Cash & Bank
accounting including new GL accounting, automatic payment programs.
Should have sound configuration knowledge of cost center, cost element,, internal order, product costing,
profitability analysis and profit center accounting.
Understands configuration dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of SAP and
provide financial expertise into the definition and resolution of issues in this area with his knowledge.
Conducts or participates in user requirements gathering, blueprinting & documentation designs. Provides support in
the development of SAP / ERP related strategies and operational plans.
Ensure compliance to existing and development of required data and reporting standards.
Ensure the integrity of the finance configuration of the SAP system across multiple landscapes.
Support production configuration and assist in functional change requests.
Support business implementations by sharing best practice configuration skills.
Conduct configuration changes to accommodate change requests and prototype activities.
Undertakes system analysis and assists in ensuring that the HR module performs in an effective manner.
Keep abreast of SAP releases, enhancements/ new functionality and perform application research.
Participate in release upgrade or new functionality / enhancement assessments and make recommendations. .
Provides Level 1 and 2 (L1 & L2) support regarding various HR module related services and assists with generic

system related troubleshooting.
Assists with the development of user manuals and materials / delivery of user related trainings.
Develops functional specifications and works with BASIS and ABAP personal resources to complete object
development and testing.
Promotes comprehensive knowledge transfer of SAP skills to team members and/or business users.
Perform other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the SAP Project manager or Corporate IT Director in order to meet
organizational objectives.
