Competency

Behavioral competencies are any behaviors, attitudes, or personality traits that help
predict how successful a candidate will be at the job they are applying for. These
competencies may also include knowledge, skills, and actions that distinguish a candidate
from the hiring pool.
Behavioural Competency
Framework
A behavioral competency framework is an inventory of
anticipated skills, knowledge and behaviors, that lead to
excellence on the job. It describes competencies in
behavioral terms, using indicators to help recognize the
competencies when individually demonstrated.

Survey Analysis
This Survey is a self-assessment
questionnaire, designed to know
about an individual think about
the various Behavioral
Competencies under various
circumstances. Six Behavioral
Competencies have been
considered under this survey-
· Self-Awareness
· Emotional Intelligence
· Leadership
· Conflict Resolution
· Ethics
· Resilience
Among 95 responders, the age group is divided as such-
47.4% people are of age group 22 to 25 years.
25.3% people are of age group 25 to 30 years.
9.5% people are of age group 30 to 35 years.
10.5% people are of age group 20 to 22 years.
7.4% person are of age 40+ years.

Most of the people who participated in the Survey are having a work experience of less than 2 years
about 45.3%.
28.4% people have work experience of 2 to 5 years.
13.7% people have work experience of 5 to 10 years.
6.3% people have work experience of 10 to 15 years.
1 person has a work experience of 15 to 20 years.
And, 5.3% people have a work experience of 20+ years.

SELF AWARENESS
Self-awareness involves being aware
of different aspects of the self-
including traits, behaviors, and
feelings.
The six Self-awareness Statements and their analysis is as follows:
1. I always achieve the goals that I set for myself.
46.3% people agree with the statement that they achieve the goals that they set for themselves. 36.8%
people agree with the statement.
Whereas, 8.4% people disagree with statement and have lacked in achieving some of their goals.

2. I have negative thoughts before I fall asleep.


42.1% people strongly disagree with statement, inferring they sleep peacefully without any worries.
23.2% people are unsure whether they have negative thoughts before sleep.
Whereas, survey also show 9 people agree with the statement.

3. I know when I am wrong or being unreasonable.


48.4% people agree with statement and are being identify where they get wrong or are not able to
understand what another person is meaning.
16 people are confused in understanding of their awareness.
4. I feel stressed about the matters that are out my control.
This statement has a mixed reaction as 49 people agree with statement that matters in that are not in their
control cause them stress, whereas 27 people either strongly disagree or disagree with the statement
depicting emotionally they are stable and don’t worry much.
5. Awareness of my emotions is very important to me, in most situations.
51.6% people Strongly agree and 28.4%people agree with the statement but at the same time stress can
affect some of them if situations are not in their control.

6. When I feel low, I can point out the reason why.


About 36.8% and 27.4% people agree and strongly agree with statement respectively, depicting they are
emotionally aware and also why they feel such.
11 people either disagree or strongly disagree statement.
Whereas, 24.2% people are unsure, inferring that they are not emotionally versed yet.

Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand, use, and manage your own
emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with
others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Conflict resolution is a way for two or
more parties to find a peaceful solution
to a disagreement among them. The
disagreement may be personal,
financial, political, or emotional. When
a dispute arises, often the best course of
action is negotiation to resolve the
disagreement.

BEHAVIORAL ETHICS IS THE STUDY OF WHY PEOPLE MAKE THE


ETHICAL AND UNETHICAL DECISIONS THAT THEY DO. ITS TEACHINGS
ARISE FROM RESEARCH IN FIELDS SUCH AS BEHAVIORAL PSYCHOLOGY,
COGNITIVE SCIENCE, AND EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY.

THAT THEIR ETHICAL BEHAVIOUR WAS
UNDERESTIMATED BY OTHERS...

22.1% people agree that during a journey they like to travel alone, indicating they
like to rely on themselves as they move.
Also, 24 people require at least one companion as while traveling.

In the survey either Strongly agree or agree with the statement


that they are aware of what they want in life to please
themselves, about 42.1% and 41.1% respectively
43.2% and 37.9% people strongly agree and agree with the statement
respectively.
But about 14.7% people are unsure and 4 people disagree with the
statement.
Most of the people participating in the
survey either strongly agree or agree with
the statement, about 34.7% and 35.8%
respectively.
While 8 people does not feel good about
how their life is going, about 21.1% people
are unsure about the direction they are
heading.
About 82.3% people either strongly
agree or agree with the statement
combined.
Whereas, 12 people are unsure
whether they have good friends
who emotionally support them and
5 people disagree with the
statement, depicting either they
have self-disclosure issues or have
trust issues.
47.4% people strongly agree with the statement and
26.3% people agree with it.
But 10 people are have problems interacting with
others and are isolated among themselves.
