Past progressive
Past continuous, o past progressive, se utiliza en inglés para acciones que se encuentran en curso
o en progresión en un momento determinado del pasado. Se forma con el verbo auxiliar be ( was/
were) en pasado y el gerundio del verbo principal.
Ejemplo:
Lucy was Walking on the beach at six o’clock yesterday.
Lucy estaba caminando en la playa a las 6 en punto ayer.
While Lucy was relaxing on the beach, Laurence was sailing. (acciones que ocurren
simultáneamente en el pasado)
Mientras lucy se estaba relajando en la platya, Laurence estaba navegando.
