PRE-TEST: Follow the instructions below.

1. Share your thoughts about the image below.

Answer:

From that picture I can say that a Natural law is a law whose content is set by nature
and that therefore has validity everywhere. Positivism is a law made by human beings.

POST-TEST: Follow the instructions below.

1. Explain Natural Law in your own words.

Ans: It is predicated on the assumption that everyone in a society has the same
understanding of what is "good" and "wrong." Furthermore, natural law believes that
everyone wants to live a life that is "good and innocent." As a result, natural law might
be considered as the foundation of "morality."

2. Summarize the arguments against Natural Law with the advent of modern
science.

Ans: Natural Law Theory is the theory’s assumption that moral principles are written in
the laws of nature (or by God). Modern science contradicts this assumption. The
scientific perspective sees only cause and effect in the natural world; morals and
values, it claims, are inventions of the human mind. From this worldview, the continued
use of Natural Law Theory in the Catholic Church (where it is most prominent) is a
holdover from Medieval thought.
