Remove/install
1 Disconnect ground line (1) from on-board AR54.10-P-0003NKB
electrical system battery (G1).
2 Remove positive pole cover (5).
3.1 Release front-end relay (K92) until it can be Model 117, 156, 176, 246
removed from the on-board electrical system with code 4U7 (Start/stop voltage dip protector)
battery (G1) and then place front-end Model 242 with engine 270
relay (K92) with lines to one side. with code 4U7 (Start/stop voltage dip protector)

Do not release rear positive line (9).

3.2 Loosen nut (8), remove positive line (3) from
on-board electrical system battery (G1) and
place to one side.
4 Remove vent hose (2) from on-board electrical
system battery (G1) and place to one
side (arrow A).
5 Remove trim (4) of on-board electrical system
battery (G1).
6 Unscrew screw (6) and remove holder (7) of on-
board electrical system battery (G1).
To avoid any damage to the component.

Installation: Ensure that vent hose (2) is
routed without kinks.
Installation: The trim (4) must engage in
the guides (arrow B and C).
Installation: Before tightening the
screw (6), the on-board electrical system
battery (G1) must be moved up to the end stop
in the direction of the arrow (arrow D).

7 Remove on-board electrical system
battery (G1).
8 Install in the reverse order.
