to the remote contol system, the low pressure contact
is recommended to be wired to the alarm channels
and to prevent motor operating.

5. Installation
5.1 Installation of the plug-in insulators
The plug-in insulators are needed for connection of the
switch to an overhead line. The detachable insulators
are of silicone rubber. Silicone is a flexible, hydrophobic
and unbreakable material with excellent electrical
properties. Installation of the plug-in insulators is shown
in figure 2.

5.2 Installation of the hook-stick lever
Install the hook-stick lever before lifting the switch
up on the pole. See figure 3. Note the position of the
instruction plates when the switch is in the open position.
If a 3-position switch is mounted below the cross-arm,
separate spacer plates (NXBZ 59) should be used to
give clearance for the rotating lever.

7. Maintenance 8. Operation safety
The Sectos is maintance free for the expected service
life of the switch. The tank and the spring mechanism 8.1 Normal operation

8.2 SF6 - gas
Pure SF6-gas is a nontoxic, nonflammable, heavy inert
insulating and cooling gas of high dielectric strength and
thermal stability.

8.3 Recommended procedure for
disposal of the Sectos
Sectos includes valuable materials for recycling: stainless
steel, copper, steel, and SF6-gas. Small amounts of gas
decomposition products may be formed during the
breaking operations. These are mainly eliminated
by the absorbent inside the tank. However, some
precautions are recommended to ensure safe handling
of these materials. Local regulations, if any, shall be
followed.

9. Installation examples and
circuit diagrams
The Sectos can be installed in many ways. The Sectos
can be equipped with a manual or with a motor operating
device. The motor operating device can easily be mounted
afterwards.
