The reverberating ( bio word) effect of the slamming of the door injected shock waves to my
every cell,shot me from my sweet slumberland.Grandpa is hard of healing.( Present tense
means grandpa is still having this problem today.) He thought he had closed the front door
gently .My dearest grandpa did not realise that he made aftershocks of man-made
earthquake each time he closed any door.

2.I looked at the sunflower smiling ( 点睛）clock on the wall-6:59 am!" Oh NO! I am One
Hour late! I jumped out from my warm bed,ran into the bathroom,rushed through the
routine of washing up.( Learn and apply this.means brushing teeth,wiping face..)As I was
brushing my teeth,I saw the water stopped running out from the tap,...I realiesed the Water
Board wanted us to "save water.There was a water cut! I still had my mouthful of
toothpaste bubbles.I ran down the stairs, grabbed a big bottle of stored drinking water.I
went back into the bathroom,rinsed my mouth.There went my plan of washing my itchy "
crown of glory"( two times you have seen this phrase)

3. After changing into my favourite coloured lemon yellow t- shirt and sky blue ripped jeans,I
glided down the bannister and landed on the floor perfectly.i rushed into the kitchen to
prepare breakfast for my blood brother and sister.i diced the fruits and some greens.i was
about to make healthy juices for them."Pop!" That sound told me I had a power cut.Thank
God the sun was out,there were some lights filtering into the kitchen and the house.My
siblings had to eat fruits and raw veggies for breakfast.It was 7:23am.There were no
shadows of the whereabout of my siblings.I yelled at the top of my voice to wake them
up .No movements! No sounds! It was as if " there had been two deaths in my house".I ran
upstay ,banging on their bedroom doors.No respond!It struck me then,they would be in
their school by then.wasting my breath!.

4.I went into my bedroom took my bedpack and rushed down the stairs into the kitchen.I
took a sip of my thick aromatic black coffee.I shook my hand a bit and spilt a few drops of
my coffee onto my t-shirt .I wanted to kill myself for adding some " decorations" onto my
top.I put down my mug and backpack.i ran up the stairs two steps at a time into my
bedroom to change my top.I felt I had enough running for a year!I quickly changed, ran
down the stairs and grabbed my backpack from the kitchen

.I took the keys from the table.I quickly walked out of the house.i was to drive dad's
SOIV( vios) to college.He and mum were away for only- they-knew- they - were- on- how-
many - times- of- their - honeymoons.Blissful and happy for them,woeful and wretched for
me as I had to run the whole household when they were away

5.As I reversed out of the garage ,it suddenly dawned on me that I had forgotten to put fresh
water and food for Shanchai.If she starved and kicked the bucket,my mum would disown
me.i quickly drove into the garage,ran into the house .I quickly served that " little princess"
before I successful got the car on the road to college.

6.My plan to drive to college was I did not need to wait and wait for the LRT, squeeze like
sardines n bathe in the man- made body odour of the other commuters.what was in front of
me were long lines of crawls along the roads." Oh No!' words failed to describe my
dismay.By the time I reached the college and found a parking space,I was on time for my
third lecture.

7. Soon,it was noon,I went to the cafeteria with my pals,Billion and Paku.Since I only had a
few drops of coffee in the morning,I order my favourite Penang Laksa,two fried spring rolls,
two pieces of " pisang goreng"( banana fritters)( need to explain in English!) one 100plus and
a medium sized dragon fruit.When it was my turn to pay,I fished everywhere in my backpack
for my wallet,the cashier was eyeing me up and down.I had forgotten to bring my
cash.Thank God for bosom friends who chipped in to help to pay.

8.After lunch and three tutorials later,I rushed out of the tutorial room and walked briskly to
the LRT stop.Since I had monthly ticket it was no hazzle for me to board the LRT even if I did
not bring my wallet.Bathing in the " man - made smells or rather body odour,the LRT
reached my stop.i got off the car( 一节车厢）,relief!

9. Then,thunderstuck,my heart nearly stopped beating." Didn't I drive Dad:d ViOs to college
this morning?Why did I take an LRT home? " I wanted to utter foul language and hang
myself high.I left the car; father previous Vios in the parking lot of the college.

10.I turned back and waited for the next LRT .I bathed in the " man - made odour" to
college,again!

11. When I reached the parking lot,Thank God,the vios was still there.i opened the door of
the car and sat inside.Then,I caught sight of a piece of white paper under a wiper.I opened
the door,got out,took the paper.It was a fine for failing to place the required coupon.

12. As I rode along the road home,I felt the streetlights were getting dimmer and dimmer.I
commented in my heart that the TNB needs to replace the streetlights.In the rear- view
mirror,I saw a police car approaching from behind and with the blue light flashing on top.I
drove on.Then a siren,the police car overtook my car and stopped abruptly a few meters
from my car.I pressed my brake petal pressed to the limit and the car stopped before it hit
the police car.I thought those policemen needed to relearn how to to drive.Two policemen
got down from their car.They came to the side of my car.one policeman motioned for me to
wind down the window of the car.I obeyed.One policeman pointed to me that I had
forgotten to switch on the lights.He gave me some constructive advice.I apologised
profusely.They then drove off.

13. By the time I reached home,it was well past dinner time.When I stepped into the living
room,I smelt fried chicken and pizzas .Grandpa,my siblings were happily munching, chewing
and slurping in front of the TV set.

At least I did not need to cook for them.i just hoped I would not need to go through another
day when EVERYTHING went wrong.
