Ajit Case Analysis:

1. What is the problem in the case in terms of talent attrition or challenges of


retaining talent?
Ans:
a. The organization implemented a strict policy to ensure the safety of its
female employees. However, they failed to ensure the implementation of this
policy.

b. It is evident from the conversation between Ajit and Pooja that the delay in
the arrival of the CABs and the unpreparedness of the security personnel was
day-to-day practice. The waiting period after long working hours might
reflect negligence for the beneficiaries of the policy.

c. Also, the lengthy standard procedure might discourage female employees
from adding extra hours to their regular working hours. Female employees
from conservative families will also try to avoid working late hours and
prefer to work in an organization with more flexible policies.

2. What is the cause of the problem?


Ans:
a. The root of the problem can be directed towards the negligence of the admin
department towards the implementation of the organizational policy and
failing to keep a check on the quality of the service provided to the
beneficiaries.

b. The organization’s employees can also be held responsible for this situation
as they failed to address the problem to the stakeholders who are a part of
the decision-making process.

3. What can be done to solve the problem in the near future?


Ans:
a. Implementation of a more effective and flexible policy with the help of
feedback on the existing policy will certainly lead to more employee
satisfaction. Also, by having a more open work culture, the organization can
notice these issues at an early stage.
b. The regulations on the service providers also needed to be structured to
ensure that the employees were getting the desired services per the
organization’s policy.

4. What should be done to avoid those problems in the future?


Ans:
a. The management should avail a feedback portal for the employees where
they can report their issues to the management or the administration. The
administration should closely monitor the quality of the services provided
within the organization.

b. The management should work closely with the administration to evaluate


the organization’s and its employees’ requirements.
