“Electronic Commerce – e-commerce”

Electronic commerce (ecommerce) is a type of business model, or

segment of a larger business model, that enables a firm or individual to
conduct business over an electronic network, typically the internet.
Electronic commerce operates in all four of the major market segments:
business to business, business to consumer, consumer to consumer and
consumer to business. It can be thought of as a more advanced form of
mail-order purchasing through a catalog. Almost any product or service
can be offered via ecommerce, from books and music to financial
services and plane tickets.

“Electronic Business - e-business”

E-business (electronic business) is the conduct of business processes on

the Internet. These electronic business processes include buying and
selling products, supplies and services; servicing customers; processing
payments; managing production control; collaborating with business
partners; sharing information; running automated employee services;
recruiting; e-Business is a term often used in conjunction with e-
commerce, but includes services in addition to the sale of goods. E-
business can comprise a range of functions and services, ranging from
the development of intranets and extranets to e-service, the provision of
services and tasks over the Internet by application service providers.

Virtual Reality

The computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image or

environment that can be interacted with in a seemingly real or physical
way by a person using special electronic equipment, such as a helmet
with a screen inside or gloves fitted with sensors.
Virtual reality is an artificial environment that is created with software
and presented to the user in such a way that the user suspends belief and
accepts it as a real environment. On a computer, virtual reality is
primarily experienced through two of the five senses: sight and sound.

The simplest form of virtual reality is a 3-D image that can be explored
interactively at a personal computer, usually by manipulating keys or the
mouse so that the content of the image moves in some direction or
zooms in or out.

Virtual reality can be divided into:

 The simulation of a real environment for training and education.

 The development of an imagined environment for a game or
interactive story.
