Advisory on Large Area Electricity Outage

T&TEC wishes to advise the public that at approximately 9:00 a.m. it experienced a fault on its
system stemming from an apparent problem at one of the generating plants.

As a result, there was automatic shedding of load across Trinidad and several areas are currently
without an electricity supply, including the list following. Tobago is unaffected.

The Commission is speaking with the power producer to determine the nature of the issue and the
time for restoration.

An update will be provided at 11 a.m. or sooner.

• Beetham
• Santa Cruz
• Penco Lands
• Cumuto
• St Joseph
• Arima
• Toco
• Tacarigua
• Diego Martin
• West Moorings
• San Raphael
• Penal
