Six trading mistakes which cost me heavily:

(1/n)

1. Sense of urgency: I always wanted to make

money everyday and reach certain capital
immediately.

This led me to risking big which impacted my

thought process and ability to trade with
confidence.

(2/n)
2. Lack of journaling: One of the most underrated
aspects is maintaining a trade record. How we look
at markets in live markets vs at end of day is
different.

And maintaining a record of trades helps us gauge

with clarity at end of day about mistakes we make.

(3/n)

3. Comparison with other traders: There are both

upsides and downsides to it. After you reach a
certain competency, comparison can be healthy but
in the beginning; do not compare yourself with
other traders.

(4/n)

You do not know their experience, skill and effort

and it will impact you negatively.

(5/n)
4. Attaching self-worth to trading: A profitable day
used to make me feel like the king and a losing day
used to make me feel like a loser.

Trading is a part of life but not life itself. We trade

to live the way we want but we do not live to trade.

(6/n)

Attaching our self-worth to trading only makes us

feel worse and in turn does not allow us to operate
us at peak performance the next day.

(7/n)
5. analysis overload: Trying every other method of
analysis; trying every new fancy indicator is a
classic sign of this.

My trading improved by miles when I stopped

trying every available tool and focused on one or
two.

6. Not getting enough rest: Ever spend late hours

into the night watching trading videos; analyzing
charts only to feel tired next morning and not be
focused?

Happened with me. Sometimes; less is more in

trading. Key is to find a balance.
