etiquette will helps us to know how to behave and conduct ourselves in school
and even in different environments. Having knowledge in etiquettes is a must. It
is not just about being perfect, or being prim and proper, it's not about our social
class, profession or how rich or well educated you are but its all about respect.

III. ESSAY (10 points each) (5 sentences only in each essay)

1. Explain the importance of studying Ethics. Cite situation to give support to your
answer.
● Etiquette is about kindness, it is about being friendly, it is about being polite, it
is about integrity, it is about good manners. Using good manners puts others
before you and is a sign of respect and courtesy. It implies polite behavior and
can help build relationships with people whether it is applied in the workplace,
school or even at a social gathering. It helps us to be thoughtful about our
conduct, it helps us to be aware of the feelings and rights of others. Etiquette
also helps us to get along with others as it promotes respect no matter where you
are from. Having good manners is not just about saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’.
It is about how you present yourself, how you behave, how you speak, how you
treat others, how you think. For example, when someone says, “Thank you,” say
“you’re welcome” in response. Another one, if you are on a cell phone in a public
place, find a quiet place you can continue the conversation or keep your voice
down so that the entire area does not have to hear your conversation.

2. Discuss one reason why only human beings can be ethical.

● Only humans can be ethical because only humans can act morally. Only
humans have the ability to understand moral values, rules, and principles, which
is why humans are referred to as "The Moral Creature." Human morality and
ethics are defined by humans because they are the only ones with the mental
ability to formulate and communicate ideas. Human beings only have the
freedom to choose and move. We also have our intellect and free will and do not
just act on things because of our instinct like animals.

3. Base on your own opinion, why do you think people still do or still choose to be
unethical or to do the wrong things even it will compromise their moral values?
● From my opinion, people still do unethical things even if they knew it was
wrong because they may simply lack guidance. They do not have someone to
guide them to what is right or wrong. They might also people in need. Because
as they say people that are in needs put themselves in a tight place that
sometimes they do unethical things in order to survive. They may also act like
that because of the wrong upbringing.
