Roommates Promo Video Script

Montage style

INT – KITCHEN – DAY

JAMES is in the kitchen and trying to make a piece of toast
for himself. He puts a slice of bread into the toaster and
gets out some butter and a knife. The toast pops up and he
gets it out, putting it onto the counter quickly as the toast
is hot. He spreads the butter onto the toast before picking it
back up and dropping it a few seconds later onto the floor.

INT – BEDROOM – EVENING

James and ALFIE are sat together on a bed and James is holding
an Xbox controller. They both react to the game being played
and the game gets shown on the TV screen.

EXT – OUTSIDE FRONT DOOR – DAY

Alfie walks up to the door, checking his pockets for the house
key. He can’t find it and stops searching in his pockets,
annoyed.

INT – KITCHEN/LIVING ROOM – DAY

James is making another slice of toast. He outs the bread into
the toaster and gets out a plate this time. When the toast
comes out, he butters it with it on the plate and walks out
the room. He goes to the living room and takes a bite of
toast. He sits down on the sofa, next to his cat, before
hearing a knock at the door. He gets up and leaves the room to
see who it is.

EXT – GARDEN – DAY

James and Alfie are sat outside in the garden, just having a
conversation.
INT – BEDROOM – DAY
James is seen sort of struggling to put on a fitted sheet onto
the bed, the opposite corner always seeming to come undone.
The section ends with him giving up.

INT – LIVING ROOM – DAY

James walks back into the living room. He stops a few steps
into the room as he realises most of his toast is missing. He
looks up and sees his cat eating/licking it. The scene ends up
James being cut off in the middle of his sound of
annoyance/swear and cuts to black to reveal the series name
and release date (using the deadline date for the project).
