N°1: Emergency procedure : Reaction sheet to the Supervisors attention

MEDICAL EMERGENCY: ACCIDENT FIRE ACTION EMERGENCY EVACUATION
1. PROTECT TO PREVENT OTHER ACCIDENT
Secure the area as much as possible to avoid another accident: If any emergency evacuation of this building is necessary and in order
• Stop adjacent/around works • Use the safety alarm provided inside safety box place inside each to evacuate:
• Signal /mark out the area of accident (people or warning triangles) building • Use the safety alarm provided inside safety box placed inside each
• Maintain curious out of the accident area • Stop adjacent/around works building
• Turn off electrical/mechanical equipments inside the accident area • Move the equipments/tools as far away from the fire as possible • Evacuate people according to the Evacuation Plan
or everything dangerous • Leave the building by the nearest available exit with all the team • Make a head count of all workers on the basis of the prestart
• Chock the equipment/vehicles and cut battery if any involved in the (see evacuation plan) and go to the assembly point meeting attendance list, at the Assembly point
accident Do not take risks - Do not reenter the building for any reasons Make sure that all the people evacuate to the assembly point
unless authorized to do so (base A)
2. ALERT THROUGH CMI MANAGEMENT
Inform the Safety Officer/Safety Manager and specify:
 What has happened  What is ongoing/ first measure taken  Request of external or internal aid if necessary
a) The precise location of the incident –building n°  Rescue  First aiders,
b) The number of people concerned  Evacuation  People trained in the use of fire extinguishers,
c) The number of injured involved and severity of injuries  Dousing of the fire, if any  Ambulance,
d) Likely source of incident  Medical attention, if any  Firefighter, etc.
3. RESCUE
• If emerging fire, send trained people to fight the fire using
extinguishers (safety box) and other available on site: note the name If required:
• Send the first aiders present in the area with the first aid kit to
and time you send people • Emergency evacuation of the injured by first aiders if required
rescue the injured
Don’t endanger people (size of the fire) • Leave the area with injured with the help of first aiders
Never send one people alone to do this job
5. FACILITATE ACCESS OF EXTERNAL AIDS (FIREFIGHTER, AMBULANCE)
• Clear access for Emergency vehicles should be provided
• Put someone to guide the emergency services if any coming to the point (injured, fire…)
6. REPORT TO CMI MANAGEMENT/SAFETY MANAGER OR SITE MANAGER

Report to the Safety Officer/Safety Manager/Management and specify:

 What happen
 What have been done: number of injured, number of people evacuated and any missing…
 The current situation: damage of equipment, …
KEEP COOL IN EVERY SITUATION !
