 Please read the questions carefully and address the issues raised in each question.
 You are required to address major points and argue critically (use your material,
Company documents, internet sources and other references, while analyzing the strategic
management practices of the chosen company).
 In your report, you are expected to indicate references (sources).
 The report should follow formal reporting format.

Question:
Select one local organization and Discuss about its Strategic Management practice.
In your discussion you are expected to address the following issues.
1. Brief Background of the Company: (Introduce the company you select to discuss its
strategic management practice, mention nature of the business it operates, history,
structure, customers, ownership etc…)
2. Mission and Vision of the company (You are required to state mission and vision of the
company, you are also expected to comment and forward your personal evaluation
based on acceptable/generic/ concepts you have learnt in chapter two of the course
strategic management)
3. SWOT analysis
3.1 Strengths and Weaknesses
 In your discussion, it is vital to review the company’s internal assessment (please
refer to chapter five)
 Do the company identify strengths and weaknesses? If so, do you think the
assessment is in-depth, and include adequate factors?
 What were core competencies and capabilities identified by internal assessment?
3.2 Opportunities and Threats
 In your discussion, it is mandatory to review the company’s External environment
analysis (please refer to chapter four)

4. What are the specific strategies formulated by the company after acknowledging the
internal and external environment assessment/ evaluation? (In your discussion, please
indicate what courses of actions were specified and selected by the company to pursue
its mission and vision)
5. Implementation issues
Once the company specified courses of actions and prepared its strategy, it is expected
to implement and execute the plan as it appears in the paper. So, what were the main
interventions/ actions taken by the company management to implement its strategy?
(Indicate issues related to preparing annual objectives, functional level objectives,
resource allocation, restructuring, policy formulation and managing resistance, etc…)
6. Challenges:
What are the main challenges the company encounter while managing its strategy?
(Discussion/ argument should be critical and in-depth to show your analytical skill and
understanding of the concept)
