High School of the Dead [Co-ed Apply Closed] Description This is a story of some high school children whose

not only school, but entire town/country is under a zombie attack. This story tells the tale of how they kicked some butt, took some names, and looked good doin it! Prologue: The Outbreak: Part 1 April 28, 2011 Dr. Yuya Takadas Laboratory

12:00 P.M.

The day was young and bright, a stark contrast to the mood of the secluded lab. Dr. Takada sat in his laboratory holding a vial with a crystal blue liquid flowing around beautifully, rhythmically even. The little jar of blue water looked way less harmless than it actually was, this fact was what happened to be plaguing the doctors mind.

The doctor was not alone in the normally desolate place he called his office. A homeless man, a hobo, a bum, whatever title tickles your fancy; laid on a table strapped tightly down. This man, who wasnt of sound mind, volunteeredafter minimal coaxingto be part of Dr. Takadas little experiment. Youd be surprised how far a stack of cardboard boxes and twenty dollars can go. The homeless gentleman, was not all there mentally (as mentioned earlier) so when the scientist formally introduced himself and asked for the others name, he referred to himself as Lou.

To keep Lou from having some type of violent episode, he was given an anesthetic to lull him to sleep and keep him calm, while Dr. Takada debated whether or not to go through with the experiment. Dr. Takada held the vial closer to his face, staring at the transfixing blue liquid that projected his reflection.

Solanum. The zombie virus. This was the blue threat staring back at him. It was a virus, no truly known origin. Dr. Takada was a tad bit obsessed with the undead and wanted to further research and validate his findings in the scientific community. He was going to be the first person to create a zombie, and create an antidote/vaccine.

That was what Lou was for.

Dr. Takada filled a rather large syringe with the Solanum, capped it off, and paced toward the sleeping bum.

He pressed the needle against Lous neck, Lou stirred a little but not much, Dr. Takada closed his eyes and let the needle penetrate the weary skin as the aquamarine fluid entered Lous veins ------------------Prologue: The Outbreak: Part 2 April 28, 2011 Dr. Yuya Takadas Laboratory

1:00 P.M. Its been an hour since Lou was given the virus, hes awake now. His skin has begun to turn a rotten brown and purplish color. He has been constantly complaining about severe neck pain, much to Dr. Takadas pleasure. His theories were correct! He was disheartened at seeing a complete stranger go through something so awful, but it had to be done.

5:00 P.M. Were in the fifth hour. Lous pain has significantly worsened. He complains of fever, chills, and joint pain. It almost sounds as if he has a bad case of influenza, maybe pneumonia. Lou complains of seeing things, its not out of character for Lou to be delusional. According to Dr. Takadas hypothesis of the Zombie Reanimation Chain of Events, dementia begins in this stage, it worsens the further we go. Soon after Dr. Takada checked his notes, Lou started to vomit profusely. Sullying the tables and floors but mostly himself, the regurgitated foodmixed with a fair amount of bloodsloshed and splashed.

8:00 P.M. Eight hours, so far. Dr. Takada has eagerly watched the letch strapped across one of his work tables, mutate into something awful. Something otherworldly. Something repulsive and disgusting. Also something whose discovery would make Dr. Takada the most respected, world-renown, and rich scientists ever. The living-fucking-undead. Every so often when Dr. Takada would observe a change in Lous behaviors or reactions, he would ask to see how he was doing. What a considerate guy, huh? He didnt ask because he was completely concerned with Lous well-being, but to monitor how well his little experiment was coming along. When you look at it from this angle, hes kind of a prick. Oh well, all is fair love and zombies! Lous responded as he could, ceasing from his groans of pure agony. He was happy in one sense, but terrified in another. Lou was experiencing numbness in his extremities. Dr. Takadas eyes widened at the revelation. One point for Yuya Takada, zero points for the scientific community that laughed at him. The distressed and dying man on the table complained of a high fever. A fever? That wasnt in Dr. Takadas notes. How interesting. He shuffled to take Lous temperature, the man was burning up. It wasnt a normal temperature in the slightest. 108 degrees for a core body temperature, pretty much meant he was dead or very close to death. Dr. Takada scribbled in his notes, his excitement building up with each pen stroke. But the reanimation process was not over just yet, Lou still had a little to go Zombie School: Lesson #2 Do zombies have feelings?

Feelings of any kind are not known to the walking dead. Every form of psychological warfare, from attempts at enraging the undead to provoking pity have all met with disaster. Joy, sadness, confidence, anxiety, love, hatred, fear-all of these feelings and thousands more that make up the human "heart" are as useless to the living dead as the organ of the same name.

Do zombies have memories of who they were?

A modern concept is that a zombie retains the knowledge of its former life. We hear stories of the dead returning to their places of residence or work, operating familiar machinery, or even showing acts of mercy to loved ones. No matter who a person was in his or her former life, that person, sadly and unfortunately, is gone forever, replaced by a mindless automaton with no instinct other than for feeding.

Why do zombies prefer urban areas over the countryside?

First, the undead do not prefer cities, but simply remain where they are reanimated until they wander off elsewhere. Second, the main reason zombies tend to stay in cities instead of fanning out into the countryside is because an urban zone holds the highest concentration of prey, and until that prey either dies or moves somewhere else, the zombie won't be going anywhere either. In a city devoid of life, zombies will wander aimlessly until they wander right out of the city. -----------Blurb! I am on my phone right now going out of town to Sam's Club...please excuse errors.
