Dear _____________,

I am writing this letter as a registered owner of the lot located at _______________________ as seen in
TCT - ________ attached herein as Annex “A”.

Sometime in ______, _____, employees/staffs from your office were seen cutting the trees located
inside my property without permission nor notice from me. Such trees are fruit-bearing and can produce
an average of _____ kilos every year which is valued at approximately P_________ depending on the
price of the fruits on the market; and has an average lifespan of ____. Pictures of the trees are attached
herein as Annex “B”.

Section 68 of PD 705 states that “any person who shall cut, gather, collect, or remove timber or other
forest products from any forest land, or timber from alienable and disposable public lands, or from
private lands, without any authority under a license agreement, lease, license or permit, shall be guilty
of qualified theft as defined and punished under Articles 309 and 310 of the Revised Penal Code.” The
same section states that in the case of partnership, association or corporation, the officers who ordered
the cutting, gathering or collecting shall be liable, and if such officers are aliens, shall, in addition to the
penalty, be deported without further proceedings.

Also, an Electric post and a transmission line were installed on my property. Again, without consent nor
notice to me as the registered owner. May I kindly remind you that such unlawful entry and installation
of the electric post and transmission lines without due notice or proceeding is punishable by the laws of
the Philippines. As a registered owner, I have the right to enjoy my property. This right was deprived of
me by your installation of the electric post and transmission line. Pictures of the electric post and
transmission lines are attached herein as Annex “B”.

With this, may I then request your good office to: a) pay compensation and damages for the trees
that were cut; b) remove the electric post and transmission line from the property and transfer it
to another location; c) pay just compensation from the date of actual entry until the electric post
and transmission lines are removed.

I am expecting a written response from your office within five (5) days from receipt of this letter.
Otherwise, I may be constrained to exercise other rights as a registered owner of the property in a
proper proceeding.

Sincerely,

Registered Owner
