Year-long classes give kids rich and diverse arts education experience that Is shared In end-of-the-year showcases for families and friends to attend! Tuesdays: Music Lab! Music FUNdamentals, World Music, Composition & Style. Taught by the incredible Joshua Breslauer, students will have the opportunity to dive deep into the bedrock of how music is made, ALEzraGuilar we have a full classroom of mallet instruments, drums. a piano, a variety of percussion instruments and of course, gutars! We will use all of these tools to focus. ina fun and interactive way. on the ‘math of music’ and note reading, rhythm, harmony, composition and especially ensemble work! Creating this special space devoted to this specific goal of cementing solid musicianship in cur students will give them both the musical ‘chops’ and confidence to progress even further in the'r private lessons. Although this class will be tailored to correspond with how guitar is taught its absolutely appropriate for kids studying any instrument. Wednesdays: “Kids Croup Guitar" & "Making a Musical! "Making a Musical! This beloved theatre program, taught by the very talented, Jonelle Robinson, will take our students on a tring journey through their own imaginations and onto the stage! They will get to experience everything from acting technique, to script writing, production, song wrlting, set design and m nis will earn about theart of c1 "Kids Group Guitar’ Established in 2008, EzraGuitaris a quitar program designed to give kids the opportunity to study with some of the greatest classical quitarists of this generation, while using a method of learning designed especially for them Our group classes are the core of the EzraGuitar method, These classes are built on the philosophy of Maoz Ezra that music should bbe taught in the "language of children’ and tailored to their natural ablltias. By studying with this method and philosophy, its our goal that chidren will comrect to music making in a natural and organic way. Through creative games and ensemble work, Chilcren will leave each lesson with ¢ sense of accomplishment and musical knowledge that will remain with them asa foundation for any future musical endeavors. EzraGullar Kids Group Gullar Lessons (Grades K-5) We teach small group lessons for children in grades K- § ("kids are grouped according to age & level. the course is cumulative) Melody & Rhythm: through a mix of repertoire including, classical, folk, children's songs rock, jazz, contemporary and original compositions, students will learn to play music, not only exercises. Reading music: Through our unique method children will [ern to recognize, know and master the notes in a range of four octaves. Ensemble work: From the beginning children will be learning to play in an ensemble. This group work puts emphasis on listening with sensitivity and working together. Performance: At the end of each session, students will perform in a concert. Performance is a major part of studying music, it teaches the student about building self confidence and the joy of sharing music.
