Index (CPI) 2020 International Transparency International released the 2020
Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) where India’s
rank slipped to 86th with a score of 40 from 80th
rank in 2019 stating a low position as CPI uses a
scale of 0 to 100, where 0 is highly corrupt and 100 is
very clean.The list has been topped by New Zealand
and Denmark rank at the first position with scores of

India (LASI) Wave-1 Report 2020 Health & Family Welfare (MoH&FW) virtually

world’s largest survey providing base for

Technology and UNCTAD In accordance with the new country-readiness index
Innovation Report 2021 released by the United Nations Conference on Trade
and Development (UNCTAD) in its ‘Technology and
Innovation Report 2021’, India is the biggest over
performer in frontier technologies than it’s per
capita gross domestic products (GDP) among 158
countries. The index ranked India at 43 while the
estimated one based on per capita income was 108.

Freedom India with a score of 56.5 was ranked 121 (category

of Food waste was generated in 2019. It equals
to 17% of food produced globally. 61% of this

stated 2021 is a ‘make or break year’ to
confront the global climate emergency. The
UN Framework Convention on Climate Change
(UNFCCC) has released the Initial NDC
(Nationally Determined Contributions)
Synthesis Report which measures the progress
of Climate Action Plans of Countries under the
Paris Agreement.The report states that the
efforts put in by countries are not enough to
limit Global Temperature rise to 1.5 degrees
Celsius or to meet the goals of the Paris
Agreement.
In order to achieve the targets, countries must
cut global emission by 45% by 2030 from
2010 levels.
Report on Currency and Finance Reserve Bank of India In accordance with the internal report from
(RCF) for the year 2020-21 (RBI) the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) namely
‘Report on Currency and Finance (RCF) for the
year 2020-21″ on the theme “Reviewing the
Monetary Policy Framework”, India’s medium-
term inflation target of 4% with a +/-2 %
tolerance band is appropriate for the country.
This is in lieu of the RBI’s flexible inflation

The coastline of West Bengal is the most affected as 60% of it underwent erosion during these 28 years.

World Bank group announced to discontinue its “Doing Business” reports after finding data
irregularities in countries rankings in 2018 and 2020 reports. The law investigation agency,
WilmerHale, has unveiled inconsistent with the Doing Business methodology in the 2018 report, which
favoured China’s position.
In Doing Business 2018 report, China was ranked 78th with a score of 65.3, but after making
corrections in various indicators, its position dropped 7 places to 85th with a score of 64.5.

WMO’s State of the Climate in Asia 2020: India Lost $87 Billion in 2020 due to Disasters Linked

Telangana tops in the Implementation of SPMRM
