COMMENTS: Planning, Instruction, Assessment of Student Understanding

Miss Madigan:

It’s impressive to ‘see’ you couple a structured state-wide curriculum (e math instruction) with self-developed
projects. This is ‘next level’ lesson planning that shows a wonderful maturity as a mathematics educator.
Your daily assessment measures are also strategies that exhibit veteran instructional approaches. Following
my round table discussion with Ms. Schrader, she offered the following accolades:

‘Madigan is by far the most creative and prepared student teacher I have had over the last two decades. She
has an amazing career ahead of her.”

It's been a privilege to watch you grow and get better at your chosen craft over the last few years. In
particular, this final placement has showcased your expanding instructional/mathematical skill set. You have
an amazing career ahead of you that will influence generations of students. I suspect that you will also have
opportunities to take the lead as an administrator and instructional leader. Thank you for choosing Fredonia –
we hope that it’s been transformational and allowed you to pursue your passion.
