Step one: Line Numbering. Numbers in lines of the respondent are used to identify which
number a certain answer or line falls unto. With a justified transcription, it ensures that
answers of the respondents are not being cut, less, etc. (Q1. stands for Question No. 1.)

Sample Transcribed Data Table.
Notes on this data sample: Its line or answer numbering is not by sentences, but
rather by paragraph, for starters, numbering by sentences (like the sample
transcription above) makes the work easier in specifying lines or answers, most
especially if there are multiple items of questions and answers in a single page.
Step two: Transcribing Data Table. In this this step take note of the following.
Page - states the page number where the line/answer and textual data is located.
Line – states the number of the line (answer) of the respondent fall into.
Textual Data – contains the answer of the respondent from a specific question.
Code – states the whole idea of the answer, usually the code states or contains the idea
of the answer on the notion “what is being answered or answer given in the question.”
Transcribed Data Sample of Respondent Cajarop

Extra information:
For interpretation and summarization of data, codes serves as the basis for your
interpretation and summarization of all answers of your respondents. A table presentation
for each code is preferable. For example:
