Warm up * Warm up: Ask ss to say the chant Flying a little T- whole

1. Vocabulary:
Presentation + Vietnamese + Music + IT T- whole

* Checking voc: Slap the board.
* Look, listen and repeat:
- Set the scene “you are going to listen to a story in
which the characters ask and answer questions about
school subjects”.
- Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to the tape.
- T asks Ss to listen and repeat in chorus two times.
- Have whole class repeat all phrases a few times to
reinforce their pronunciation.
2. Model sentence:
(10’) A: What subjects do you have today? Individual
B: I have Maths, Vietnamese and English.
- T models, get Ss in chorus.
- T write MS on the board, check intonation, meaning
and get SS to copy.
* Practice: Point and say:
- Elicit the characters in the pictures and their names.
- Have Ss look at the bubbles to understand how to
ask and answer questions about things someone likes.
Ask Ss to look at the four pictures to practice asking
(5’) and answering about school subjects. Pairwork
- Point to the first picture and model the task.
T: What subjects do uou have today?
Ss: I have Maths, Vietnamese and English.
- Ask Ss to repeat chorally
- Ask Ss to repeat individually.
- Ask Ss to practice in pairs. Ask them to point the
pictures and act out the dialogues. Using the pictures
in their books.
- Call on some pairs to perform their task at the front
of the class. The rest of the class observer and give
comments.
(5’) *Work in pairs. Ask your partners what subjects Pairwork
they have today.
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to ask and answer about the
actual subjects they have today.
- Invite a few pairs to perform in front of the class.
