RESEARCH DESIGN

The researchers will be using the quantitative type of research for this study.
According to Bhandari (2020), quantitative research is the process of collecting and
analyzing numerical data. It can be used to find patterns and averages, make
predictions, test causal relationships, and generalize results to wider populations. This
will help the researchers to gather more in-depth insights into a problem or generate
new ideas for the research.

The use of descriptive type of research will also be used for the research, wherein
it describes a situation or phenomenon answering the questions what, where, when,
and how. Accordingly, descriptive research is a sort of research that focuses on
describing the nature, conditions, and status of the current situation in detail (Michaels
2006). The descriptive research is appropriate for our study because it gives the
researcher wide variety and accurate interpretations of data.

The methods mostly done through surveys, including the questionnaires, personal
interviews, phone surveys, and videos. It involves detailed description of a certain
phenomenon that occurs naturally, without the intervention of an experiment. This study
focuses mainly on the Effects of the Pandemic to the Mental Health of Grade 12 ABM
Senior High School Students of Lipa City Colleges. In order to find the findings of the
study, all the data will come from the primary data derived from the interview questions
answered by the respondents.
