What is common and proper nouns?

A common noun – is a name used for general classes of persons ,

places , things , animals , ideas , and events. It is

written in lower case unless it begins a sentence.

Examples:

boy park dog

A proper noun – is used for specific persons , places , things , animals ,

ideas , and events. It starts with a capital letter.

Examples:

Philippines Mrs. Santos Ming- ming
