Subject: Scheme of examination and Syllabus for the posts of Assistant


Legal Remembrancers /District Litigation Officers
Sir,
In continuation to this department's letter of even number
dated 01.04.2022 regarding the subject cited above, it is informed that
the scheme/pattern for conducting of competitive examination for
making selections for the posts of Assistant Legal Remembrancers
/District Litigation Officers referred vide above mentioned letter shall be
a two-tier examination i.e. it shall be held in two stages viz. Mains
Examination (Descriptive Type) of Five Papers of 100 marks each and
Personality Test/Interview of 150 marks as per the detailed syllabus
prescribed in the "Annexure A" appended to this letter.

Annexure A
Pattern/Scheme of Examination for competitive examination for the posts of
District Litigation Officer/ Assistant Legal Remembrancer

1. Main Examination

The Mains Examination shall consist of following Five Papers of 100 marks
each:-

Paper-I (100 Marks)


1. English.
2. Conveyancing and Legal Drafting and Pleadings.

Paper-II (100 Marks)

1. Code of Civil Procedure, 1908


2. Indian Evidence Act, 1872

Paper-III (100 Marks)

1. Service Law (Jammu and Kashmir Clvll Services Regulations, 1956,


Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal)
Rules, 1956, Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees (Conduct)
Rules, 1971 ).
2. Jammu and Kashmir Financial Code (Volume I and II).
3. Transaction of Business of the Government of Union territory of Jammu
and Kashmir Rules, 2019.
4. The Jammu and Kashmir Writ Proceeding Rules, 1997.

Paper IV (100 Marks)

1. Constitution of India
2. Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019 including Jammu and
Kashmir Reorganization (Removal of Difficulties) Orders.

Paper V (100 Marks)

1. Indian Penal Code,1860
2. Code of Criminal Procedure,1973

2. Personality Test/Interview
personality Test /Interview shall carry 150 marks .
