Advocate Experience

Identify initial audience to invite to your program

List your best marketing channels and touch points for engaging target audience
(i.e., email campaign, newsletters, embed behind a login, social, via sales or support people)

Referral Experience

Decide the first action you want new referrals to take


(i.e., free trial, demo request, complete a form)

Brainstorm ideas and messaging on why referrals should take this action
(i.e., what's in it for them, why should they care)

Rewards

Determine when a reward is earned


(i.e., completed purchase or other action, recurring action, tiers, milestones)
Propose potential reward amounts and options
(i.e., gift cards, ACH Transfer, PayPal, coupons, credits, swag)

Implementation

Assess the systems you need to integrate


- Promotion and engagement (i.e., email marketing, website, chat)
- Referral capture (i.e., form software, website, CRM, customer tool)
- Reward trigger (i.e., CRM, ecommerce, billing, custom database)
Identify who else needs to be involved in this process
