What are the two main categories of reports?
Explain the difference.
 There are two categories of formal reports:
informational and analytical reports. The
informational report gathers data and facts used to
draw conclusions. The analytical report contains the
same information as the informational report, but it
also offers recommendations to solve a problem.

• Of minutes is to create an official record of the


actions taken at a meeting. Minutes serve to both
memorialize the actions taken for those attending
the meeting as well as for those who were unable
to attend the meeting. … Minutes should record
the decisions made, not the surrounding
discussion.
• Meeting minutes can help you to drive change,
communicate important key messages and follow-
up on agreed-upon measures and tasks. This
requires you to refer to them on a regular basis
such as during a follow-up meetings or other
occasion of verbal communication.
