Christian Theology-III

(M. Div. II, II Semester, 3 Credits Hours)

Description of the Course


This course is continuation of Systematic Theology as a part-III. It acquaints students with
the elemental building blocks of the Christian faith. The following major doctrines will be
considered: Eschatology, Bibliology, Ecclesiology, Anthropology, soteriology and
Angelology and approaches to historical theologian views. Further, it defines the scriptural
views and showing the arguments for them, refuting other views, and emphasizing the
relevance of theology to the Christian life and witness. Special attention will be given to the
concept of different six doctrines and character in the history and implications of theology for
Christian faith and witness.
Objectives
 To learn basic factual matter regarding the major doctrinal areas dealt with this
semester: theological prolegomena and five doctrines.
 To promote critical thinking about theological issues.
 To introduce students to the aforementioned areas of Christian theology.
 To defend the major ideas that the Scriptures emphasize regarding these doctrinal
subjects.
 To recognize and define the pertinent issues, fundamental terms, and theological
categories those are used when discussing these doctrines within the context of
systematic theology.
 To explain the divergent views that has evolved in the history of these doctrines.
 Demonstrate proficiency in articulating the ways in which these doctrines interrelate
to each other as well as the Christian faith as a whole.
Pedagogical Methods
Course will be accomplished in the term of online Lecturing and presenting papers as a
seminary format by students. Further, the nature of the classes will be interactive with the
teacher and students.

COURSE OUTLINE

I. Eschatology: ( Definition, common factors and controversies in eschatology)


II. Bibliology: (The word of God, Authority of Scripture, canonization and historical
overviews of bibliology and systematic description of the bible and hermeneutics)
III. Ecclesiology: (Meaning, aspects, formation, figure distinctive, function, leader,
government, ordinance and purpose of the church)
IV. Anthropology: (Man, image of God, different theories, historical overviews and
doctrine)
V. Soteriology: (Definition, different religious understanding, tense, atonement,
extended of the atonement, process of salvation)
VI. Angelology: (Definition, existence, nature and attribute, classification, ministry of
Angel and doctrine of Satan and doctrine of Demon)
