Autobiography

Of course,I understand that life is not just a bed of roses .The challenges and
hardship are an integral element of life. Since I was a toddler my mom left us
because of work that she was into . I cant help it but to cry a lot and begging
her to stay. But in order to live she must sacrifice her time for work.
Life is very tough for us , my elder sister when she was about to finish her
college terms and got pregnant at the same time.It was so terrible moment for
her and decided not to go to the school anymore because of the certain reason
which is embarrassment. We also had the black sheep of our family which is
my elder brother he’s a drug addict. He’s causing problem that time to the
point that he selling our kitchen tools just to buy drugs and use it with his
damn friends, the one who push him to do such bad things. But karma is real
they caught on guard while using “shabu”and then the police took them in
jail.We are still hoping that one day he will change himself into a good
brother that I always admire before.
Fortunately,my 4 siblings finished their college year and got a better job.
We are contributing each other needs because one blood runs through our
veins.Year after year we keep fighting our own struggles for the better
future,And step by step we are slowly near to our goals and success. As a
youngest son I was driven with passion that one day I can pay back the
hardwork of my parents and give them more better life.

All boys aren’t blue

I use the word brave because I know that’s never a word I would call myself.
When I look myself in the mirror something is not right in my eyes .Hiding from
shadows and seeking for an answer. I see courage everyday for myself and
kindness that carried as a teenager.I truly remember when I was a kindergarten,
and I danced with the girls on the playground instead of playing tag with the
other boys.Oh, how children could be so cruel, especially for a skinny little kid
that I was.Even when they poked fun to me, I treated them all the same, as if
they were my best friends.Back then, I found happiness in everything, something
I lost along the way, as burdens of adulthood piled upon. What I don’t realize
that my life will be like a big circle, shifting though periods of light and dark.
I’m lucky that even my parents have already a clue that their youngest son is a
little bit soft. They still keep their mouth shut and waiting for me to
confess.Everyday I prayed that one day they will accept for being who I am,But
life is not that easy what I wanted to happen because from what I saw
outside ,that discrimination is a big issue and being true to yourself is one of the
hardest part of life.Just like every other wish I made to the stars in the sky, a
dream to be someone else.
As I grow older I spent too much time trying to please other people. Lowering
the tone of my voice to sound just a little more masculine. Straightening the flick
of my wrist when judging eyes wondered in my direction. It felt’s like I’m
hiding in the closet choosing a perfect suit for them and not the way I like.I
wished I have the skills that easily educate them that being different is nice and
deserve to be respected.

Henry Sy, the man who built the SM empire from the ground up, is

living proof that success can only be achieved though perseverance.

According to him “There is no such thing as overnight success or easy

money,if you fail do not be discouraged, try again”.H e started out

buying and selling items during the post- World war 2 era and despite

encountering difficulties finding shoe manufacturers , he persisted to

pursue his vision. Nowadays his legacy can be seen and experienced

through his large-scale shopping malls all over the country

May Henry Sy’s success rubs off to us as well.Success is not just

good luck, it is a combination of hard work, good credit

standing, opportunity ,readiness amd timing. Success will not not last if

you do not care of it.

Ever since I was young I have done life the hard way. This was the same for
“coming out”. For my whole 18 years of existence,I’ve known that I would be
different .In kindergarten I would always play with the girls and sometimes the
guys as well, this continued on into primary school where I would hang out with
the girls and I was the only boy in the choir.
As I went through primary school I started feeling attracted to boys in my
class. It wasn’t until year 6 that I started notice I’m gay;but that just blew over
and I thought it was just puberty starting. After all of that, I started to think long
and hard about who I was and what I wanted to be.I started experimenting with
the idea that I was in fact gay. As I moved into year 9, I had this a friend of mine
and I confessed to her that I’m gay and she goes”Yeah;we worked that out.’We
have good time together with my other close friends and it seems that I like the
way we laugh or teasing each other.Until now, we are still best of friends and I
hope our little secrets will remain as a sign of our friendship.
The time has come when I’m finally confess to my Papa that I’m not
straight and I carried out with my confession.Begging him to forgive me for
breaking his expectation. After what I did he didn’t even said a thing and it
makes me so disappointed that time. I wouldn't done such a hilarious decision.
From the day I confess life as being gay hasn’t changed all of that much. As I
walk through the school grounds I might get the comment ‘oh there is the fag’ or
something along those lines. The one thing I have discovered about coming out is
to choose who you tell carefully especially your family because not all of us are
okay and knowledgeable about this issue. Some are being so homophobic and
others has a terrible idea about us. Also make sure you are ready and don’t feel
you have to hide who you are, because you were born this way!

A PERFECTLY NORMAL THOUGHT PROCESS

I wonder if anyone else thinks like I do.Of course, thought processes are different in every
person because of external reasons, such family, age , and gender.”And sometimes I
speak”.I laugh at myself in the mirror, sticking my tongue out at my reflection.”Man u look
good today”
A knock sounds on the washroom door.”Ken, are you almost done? You’ve been in there
for ages already.”Ugh.Can’t you be more patient? Of course she is just only 12 years old
you cannot expect her to be;Besides, she is my little sister.
“I’m coming, Criss.”I come out and raffle her hair while I walk past.”It’s about time”she
says, smoothing her hair back.I go the table and find something to eat.I ask my dad if we can
start watching TV and he said “only if you done doing your chores”.
It’s just a normal day thinking the way I look myself in the future aside I’m just 18.
Teenager life is so fun and sometimes I wished to go back time where I am so happy.
While looking at the sky my dad call me “come and assist this one.”I’m the only boy left
in our house since my 2 brothers are busy in their own life. So, as a youngest son I always
assisting my dad in terms of fixing his tricycle and outdoor chores.Yeah that’s it I have no
idea what I’m doing, okay goodbye.I mean It’s okay not to be okay.

We make judgments based on what we hear and see or perceptions

reflects the condition of the mind. The flexibility of the mind is
unimaginable, for it thinks and re thinks to twist the same thought and
implement according to convenience of the situation.Mind can be source of
joy, sorrow, happiness, misery or even bliss. It is the ability of the mind that
elevates the person’s focus to know right or wrong and similarly it.is the
mind that is cause of downfall of the person’s implemented thoughts that
fetch negativity, running the peace of such an uncontrollable process
The purity of my thoughts and its constructive implementation in life’s
daily acts help to have maturity to understand self. They said I should more
focused towards the spiritual level and understanding that develops gives
strengths to deal to the true sounds, for they hear only the noise made by the
words and don’t sense the meaning of the sound produced.

As we grow older, everyday we always facing more hard trials and suffering from what we

for myself in this situation is to give a big support from coming out and proving mysel they
are wrong. Those lines of them are slut and meaningless,we live once not twice. So, as long as
I’m still breathing I’m gonna live my life to the fullest and seize the moment I feel happy.

Literary Devices
- are devices are ways of taking writing beyond it’s straightforward, literal meaning,In that
sense, they are techniques for helping guide the reader in how to read the piece.
1. METAPHOR
-also known as direct comparisons, are one of the most common literary devices. A
metaphor is a statement in which two objects, often unrelated, are compared to each other.
Example: This tree is god of the forest
Obviously, the tree is not a god-it is in fact a tree. However,by starting that tree is the god, the
reader is given the image of something strong, large, and immovable.Additionally, using “god”
to describe the tree, rather than a word like giant or gargantuan, makes the tree feel like a
spiritual center of the forest.
2.SIMILE
- Similes, also known as indirect comparisons, are similar in construction to metaphors,

but they imply a different meaning. Like metaphors, two unrelated objects are being
compared to each other. Unlike a metaphor, the comparison relies on the words “like”
or “as.”
Example:This tree is like the god of the forest.
OR: This tree acts as the god of the forest.
3 IMAGERY

- Imagery is what it sounds like—the use of figurative language to describe something. In

fact, we’ve already seen imagery in action through the previous literary devices: by
describing the tree as a “god”, the tree looks large and sturdy in the reader’s mind.

However, imagery doesn’t just involve visual descriptions; the best writers use imagery to
appeal to all five senses. By appealing to the reader’s sense of sight, sound, touch, taste, and
smell, your writing will create a vibrant world for readers to live and breathe in.

4 SYMBOLISM
Symbolism combines a lot of the ideas presented in metaphor and imagery. Essentially, a
symbol is the use of an object to represent a concept—it’s kind of like a metaphor, except
more concise!
Example:A few very commonly used symbols include:

 “Peace” represented by a white dove

 “Love” represented by a red rose
 “Conformity” represented by sheep
 “Idea” represented by a light bulb switching on

5.PERSONIFICATION
Personification is exactly what it sounds like: giving human attributes to nonhuman objects.
Also known as anthropomorphism, personification is a powerful way to foster empathy in
your readers.
Example:Personification (using sight): The car ran a marathon down the highway.

Personification (using sound): The car coughed, hacked, and spluttered.

Personification (using touch): The car was smooth as a baby’s bottom.

Personification (using taste): The car tasted the bitter asphalt.

Personification (using smell): The car needed a cold shower.

Personification (using mental events): The car remembered its first owner fondly.
