Note
• The connectivity master unit (CMU) has stored vehicle specification information.
• A new CMU does not have any stored vehicle specification information.
• When the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on) after replacing the CMU, the unit reads and
stores the vehicle specification information sent via CAN communication from the instrument cluster.
• The Bluetooth®pairing information stored in the CMU cannot be written to a new CMU.
Therefore, the Bluetooth®pairing information will be eliminated if the CMU is replaced. Before
replacing the CMU, explain to the customer that the Bluetooth®pairing resetting is required.
6.When the CMU is replaced, perform the automatic configuration using the following procedure.
(1)Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on). (2)Select [Settings] on the center display. (3)Select
[System] on the center display. (4)Select [Factory Reset] on the center display. (5)Select [YES] on
the center display and implement the CMU initialization. (6)Verify that the CMU restarts and the
menu screen is displayed. (7)Switch the ignition OFF. (8)Remove all of the remote transmitters from
the vehicle, lock all doors, keep the remote transmitters 2 m {79 in} or more from the vehicle, and
wait for 5 min or more. (9)The CMU automatic configuration is completed. (10)Using the M-MDS,
verify that DTC U2300:54 or U2300:55 is not displayed.
id092000811300
Caution
• The connectivity master unit (CMU) determines the presence/non-presence of the commander
switch based on the communication condition between the commander switch and records it when
the ignition is switched to ACC or ON (engine off or on) the first time after connecting the negative
battery terminal.
• If the commander switch is installed with the negative battery terminal connected and the
connectivity master unit (CMU) recorded that there is no commander switch, the commander switch
does not operate.
• For the commander switch installation/removal, always disconnect the negative battery terminal,
switch the ignition to ACC or ON (engine off or on) after the servicing is completed so that the
connectivity master unit (CMU) records the presence/non-presence of the commander switch.

Caution
• The audio unit determines the presence/non-presence of a Bluetooth®unit and records it based
on the communication status when the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on) or to the ACC
position for the first time after the negative battery cable is connected.
• If the negative battery cable is connected while the audio unit has recorded the non-presence of the
Bluetooth®unit and thereafter a Bluetooth®unit is installed, the installed Bluetooth®unit
will not operate.
• When installing or removing the Bluetooth®unit, always disconnect the negative battery cable,
and after the servicing is completed, switch the ignition to ACC or ON (engine off or on) to allow the
audio unit to record the presence/non-presence of the Bluetooth®unit.
