Abstract

Continuous Variable Transmission is the transmission system is used by most of latest

automobiles. In automobiles CVT are used in transmission systems to transmit power, speed,
increase acceleration etc. It carries torque. The study of CVT has been popular for light
weighting in automotive. So, the research on the CVT is crucial. The important issue now in
automobile industries is to reduce the power loss. High torque transmission capacity can be
achieved by the introducing of better material, design optimization and manufacturing processes.
In this work, all the dimensions of an existing cvt of a Baja vehicle has been taken and analysis
of Pulley with Aluminium Alloy material has been done. In this work I have taken the Groove
Angel of CVT for further study, that will help in the high torque transmission capacity, power,
and that will increase the Acceleration. using FEA & results are validated with Experimentally.
